One definite issue I believe for anybody playing skyblock is having precious blocks destroyed.
My suggestion for this problem would be encoding a block like an ore that when it's placed
it protects a 12 x 12 area of blocks around it.
This Block Protecter could be sold at /warp trade or /warp donor or even be sold like enchantment tables or spawners on shop.skyblock.net. I'm a computer science major in college so I am good at a little coding so I could pitch in if it's alot of work even! Let me know what you all think about that one :) :) :).

I do think having the ability to protect even a tiny bit of an island is better than nothing. If it can be coded on a certain block that is not being circulated and it wont cause server lag (and full island protection would cause this so not sure how it works on the small scale) maybe it can be useful. Also mods have to be able to bypass, and other issues like will people get more than one, if it comes with a newisland it will be farmable and thus people can steal other peoples block and gain more protection and problems like that.

I could see this causing some problems like said above. Protecting islands fully would be more easier.

hmmmm well now I got brain bubbles. With those critical parts said though do you know that the block would cause lag? It may not and it could also turn into a great asset and prevent tons of grief reports/hassle.

Support. I love this. The oidea of being able to protect certain parts of your island but not all of it. It's a fabulous idea in my book!

I like the idea. How to avoid the problems that would come with it, I don't know. Which is why I'm split on this.

If this came without problems I would support. This would lag the server considering there are many islands. I like the idea though.

Yep, mine and Amy's place got completely grieved even though sponge was placed. Nothing was refunded because I was told we should have placed sponge (which we did)
