If I was getting griefed I wouldn't want to be like "Plz dont grif meh" I would want to get rid of the threat and pour lava on him/her who here agrees!

It's considered player killing so no, and people could use that excuse if they decide to kill players for fun.

They would have to have solid prove that they were getting griefed

Logblock to prove griefs doesn't always work so if it doesn't and you killed someone because they were "griefing" a ban could be the result if there's no proof of the grief. I doubt it'd be implemented anyway.

As far as I'm concerned, you can use lava to kill people, or you can break the flooring beneath them.... Only if...

A mod isn't on to help you
You have asked them to leave multiple times
You have screenshots of them grieving

Edit: I do this all the time, following these guidelines and I am yet do be banned because the mod doesn't see anything wrong with the procedure I've taken to be fair on the player and to protect my island

I've heard that too. Let me check the in-depth rules.

It isn't in the in-depth rules. It was on a thread that I created asking this exact same thing, but nothing was decided as it was closed for too old a post

If it's illegal, it's illegal for a reason.

Well griefing is illegal too, they don't have mods on 24/7 but if they make this legal then griefers can be stopped and reported. All without a mod.

No. A player could just kill someone and lie and say they griefed.

I'll never support killing players, no matter what.

If it were me dealing with it you'd both get banned.

throwing it out there... i would risk getting banned, if a player was destroying my island or stealing my stuff. and whoever bans me for protecting my island? has no heart.

He means that if he is losing say diamond blocks or beacons by being griefed, and all he can do is sit and watch because no mods are on, he can't kill and it will take too long to go on the forums and get a mod (the player could be a jag and throw the items into the void so he doesn't get them back), there should be allowances in the rules for circumstances like this. If there is no other option

and the fact that (assuming it hasnt been fixed) most griefs are logless. meaning your out of luck. without proof, your stuck like this. i may be a good player, but i will pk to save my stuff.

also, "whoever" implies a person, the rules are not a person.
the rules are the rules, and the mods enforce them, i understand.
but if your going to ban me(or anyone) for protecting my island and the contents which we work hard for just to see a player take away, yeah, i call that putting salt in an open wound..
they should still report it, but they should have the option to also save what they can so a player cant take whats left or return.
