I believe that donors deserve a private chat that is optional to use. I Think this would be good because donors pay money, so they should get a private chat away from all the spam. They should also get the option to go back to global chat. Also! Please add back the thing where you only chat to people around you. It makes stuff easier in casinos and private conversations.
id love to just have local so i could still use commands and drown out others.. except nearby like at a friends island. and a donor/global/local.
I support the second part, but not the first part. The greenbeans (like myself) are already disrespected and ignored. We don't need to make that happen more than it already does. However, having a private chat just for your co-op members would be convenient. Many faction servers already utilize this, so it probably wouldn't be hard to implement.
I know that the chat is really busy, but donor or non donor, we are all players. - mods would have to go back and forth to moderate chats - when no mods are online and either non donor or donor parties need help or have questions, segregation doesn't help the situation no thank you
It would be like this. Mods will see all the channels. This means every single person using local chat. Then we see global chat too, and optional social spy. For mods and a large server like this it will create difficulties most likely. Non donors have the right to use chat if they use it correctly, and donors should not be treated special because they chose to pay money. So no support on a donor only chat semi support for multi-channels for net
even just a local chat... anything to not see other messages, but still use commands. the chat options in multiplayer settings are lacking :/ cant just use commands but not see chat.
Having channels may hurt trading. Someone selling something may be overlooked because players are in a different channel. Players needing help also may be overlooked. No support.
No support Some of my friends are greenbeans and again with the mods having to moderate all these chats. The server doesn't need to act like the early - mid 1900's *Edit ~ but I do support local chat so you can speak to only the people that are currently on your island would make it easier if someone is coming over to work on something on your island for you or just chatting with your close friends
No support. Some donors on here think they're above everyone else and deserve a whole different chat away from the non-donors. A greenie you see today could be a Skygod in the future.
