I said "often" to be safe. But I don't see how your definition of "orthodoxy" could be Christian. It rejects standard Christian beliefs about Adam and Eve or the reason Jesus died. I'm not saying you're wrong, I just don't understand.
religion is like a you know what. you can be proud to have one. its fine to have one but dont go waving it around all over the place im not sure what to believe in. i would rather spend my sunday mornings laying in bed rather then going to church in the morings... does that happen? i heard it does?
I think about this every now and then and i come to the same conclusion as some others i am going to live my life and find out what happens when i die naturally. One thing that i can't figure out is what was there before the universe? At some point in time there was nothing since something doesn't just appear all of a sudden. How was this universe created from nothing since it has scientifically proven to be impossible to create something from nothing. Another concept is what is nothing? Whenever i imagine nothing i think of a blank space, but that is something you can't imagine nothing or at least i can't. Also for those who believe in the big bang/creation where did that come from? Most people only thing back that far, but what was before that was there truly just nothing? Ok deep philosophical thoughts over back to writing a paper on density of liquids.
At least we know that it wasn't the God (if he exists, of course) who created this universe because it's impossible to believe that some magical sky creature appeared out of nothing and made quadrillions of stars and billions of planets in 5 days. I myself believe that God is part of The System who was created to keep balance of creation, by giving people ideas of morality, what led to writing such books as Bible, Koran and etc. These books also kind of slowed development of science in Middle Ages and that gave a little boost to other planets covered in intelligent life to develop.
A few things I think in my mind could be legit: Everyone but me is an NPC and everything that has happened before my existence was either fake or created for me to aid me in my life. I can't imagine my parents being children or ever living before me. God purposely creates murderers to kill people to feed him Idk lmao this is creepy stuff xD
People aren't born as murderers. They become murderers during their lives, due to terrible accidents or horrible experience and events. And even if God exists and craves victims' flesh and blood, then my theory is correct and the creator of this world is Satan.
Everyone is in a connected coma. Like a dream. Or a nightmare. I don't know, totally depends on your life. This could all be fake. Could be real. Who cares? We're doing something. Make it last.
The Big Bang simply states that everything came from a singularity. But where did the singularity come from? Another universe? But where did that one come from then? That's where there's a crack in the foundation. Most scientists will even say there has to be a God for this to all make sense. Honestly I find the Big Bang to be kind of ridiculous. And often people mistake God for some horrible higher being who allows so much evil in the world He created. News flash- we destroyed this world. Not Him. God doesn't crave blood. We just live in an imperfect world. Why would the world be perfect if Heaven existed?
