My island neighbor has been expanding his island and it turns out that he has an automatic pumpkin farm, and for whatever reason when I am at my own island it causes my minecraft client to lag when I'm on the part of my island closest to his, it's honestly really annoying. I am not the only person with this problem, anyone else who is on the certain part of my island gets the extreme lag spikes as well. I have all of my chests here and other things that I've been working on, so I think it's really messed up that I have to go out of my way to do this because of something someone else is doing. I am already running minecraft in the lowest settings possible to try and decrease the lag but it doesn't work out, anything else I can do?....

There isnt much we can do since it is his island.
    Try downloading Optifine though?

Is this neighbor of yours following the island size limit?

Org islands are world protected and there's no way to be out of your limit, unless there has been a glitch, which rarely happens.

There's nothing anyone can do, because your neighbour is not breaking any rules, and would be unfair to them, if they had to move, or take down the farm they've been working on. I suggest using Minecraft 1.8.2 or staying out of those specific chunks. Have a chat with that neighbour of yours.

I know, but there is a limit to how big your island can be. Last I heard it was 49x49 in each direction from the bedrock.

My suggestion is to start a new island elsewhere. I am a .net player, so I don't know if the commands are the same.

I wouldn't suggest using /newisland replace and restarting because your coordinates will be the same.

If if you have a trustworthy friend, I would suggest storing items you wish to keep on their island. Have them add you to their coop, then kick you from it. When you /newisland you will have new coordinates.

I think this might be a feasible option for you.

That's what I did when I kept getting bridged to.

In relation to the OP, get optifine running, and you're just going to have to try to have less in that area to decrease the lag a tiny bit. If it's a reasonable size, you could always talk to your island neigbour about this and ask them to move it if they don't mind though. The issue comes where people don't want to move an auto farm they've spent ages on. You can't blame them for that.

You both may have to compromise. The worldguard won't help either.

As Vikki said, making an island with new co-ordinates may be the only option. However, if this is the case, hey; you get to start a new island with a new design! That concept of new islands with different styles sounds different to everyone. It would help both with the lag and you could have a bit of a change of style/theme if you wanted.

Unfortunately there is not much that we can do as he is allowed to build on his island. There are currently no redstone restrictions, if it's something you're passionate about you could try making suggestion. :)

You can always use some of the suggestions from this thread, but as there is nothing else that we can do, I am going to lock and archive this thread for now.
