Someone asked, in the global chat, how one starts a new island. Being the thoroughly helpful person that I am, I went to answer their question. Being the absolute idiot that I am, I accidentally typed my response as a command with nothing preceding it to prevent it being executed.

I've accepted that I can't get my island back. My placed spawners and stockpile of iron and grass/dirt are gone forever. My pumpkin farm is no more. My (somewhat popular) shop is a thing of the past. However, I feel that all this loss could have been avoided, if upon typing in that command and hitting enter, a dialogue were to appear for me, just reading something along the lines of,

"Are you sure? Type /newisland replace again to replace your island."

tl;dr: make people have to type in the /newisland replace command twice in a row for it to take affect, to avoid unnecessary heartache.

I've done that before on .net. I had about 3 diamond blocks and 1 endportal frame in my inventory too ;-; This would be useful to .org and .net. Support.

 

Should have been implemented when the server started but it wasn't. I'm going to assume the usual excuse would have been "it would cause lag"

Support it's happened to me in the past and it could of been totally preventable.

I wasn't in a coop at the time I did it; I presume you only have to type '/newisland yes' when you're currently in a coop. I could be wrong though. Sorry for the misunderstanding :3

I support this, I have seen many people complain about this, and its hard for people to remake the whole island over again. People who are active may build some large elaborate building, then its deleted/gone away by new island replace by mistake. Total support
