Mini modding. | Skyblock Forums I read this thread, and it said that mini modding isn't allowed. Because it annoys mods and such. And only do it when mods aren't online/are afk. Well how come mods go onto mod apps and say "I've never seen you help in chat, no support" when they apparently aren't supposed to "help in chat"? I'm not trying to start an argument or revive an old thread. Just a honest question/opinion.
My reply to that thread was saying the same thing. Basically, mini modding is annoying, but it's not illegal. Help out in chat as much as you find necessary. But leave the main "modding" portion to the ones with the mod tag.
Helping is allowed, and does help your application most of the time. The thread in my opinion is stating let mods do their jobs if you see them online and don't go overboard with trying to find people to report and screaming "Don't use caps" most likely I or another moderator kicked them before you even had a chance to say it. I will use an example of what mini modding used to mean. A person who used to come on would scream at people in chat with caps about not using caps when they where not using caps. Along with he used to msg non-donors if they had god items and if they said yes he would report them even if they had overlord coops. One time he came on my island asking me where I got my god items and if I didn't tell him, he would report me when I was a moderator at the time as well. Helping is NOT mini-modding it never meant that and it was never used to describe it in that way. People over the last few months have changed what they see as mini modding and that has changed the real meaning of it to make it seem as people cannot help which is wrong.
What I was asking was he part about "don't help if there's a mod online" and then mods proceed to go to applications and say "never seen you help"
People can help if a moderator is online, people can help when its needed anytime no matter the rank that is online. Give me an example of when a moderator said that and then dis-supported an application? Ive never seen this happen in my opinion and personal view x3
In the thread, it specifically said: "accepted forms of mini modding: when a moderator is afk/offline" And I've very often seen mods say "no support for not helping in chat"
I don't mind people helping in chat, but when you try to intervene in a mod helping someone is when you're going to get in trouble.
Yes but not every moderator thinks a person is a mini mod if they help, It might of been that person didn't really help and that is why they said that. In my opinion I like when people help it shows what kind of person they are.
