I can understand why they aren't allowed to be spawned on individual islands, but say they were added to /warp mob. I can't see any major problems with that: 1. Lag wouldn't be an issue, mobs wouldn't build up. 2. It would be quite simple, I imagine, to re-enable pigmen spawning from mob spawners but just disable the "/spawner pigmen" command for members 3. Gold: The Economy problem, which I know is apparently the big one. Just from observation, gold does not move around whatsoever on the market. Maybe the occasional armor set, but the point is: gold isn't used to trade. It's primarily aesthetic, with its only major functions as blocks for beacon pyramids. And in that sense, it's pointlessly expensive, 3 times the price of iron from rough calculation. Introducing pigmen in /warp mob wouldn't result in tons of farming and crazy inflation, but make gold more accessible for people who want it (like me ). /Warp mob wouldn't be giving gold away, but it wouldn't be making it expensive and impractical for no reason either. And it would still hold its value among the ores. Seems reasonable to me. If there is a gaping flaw, do let me know because I would really like to see this come about, at least for a trial period. I think there were pigmen at one point, but I'm not entirely sure.
no support. too easy to get gold, and /warp mob is badly designed. I think that adding pigmen would make it worse because pigmen are the most annoying mobs to deal with.
They would have to re-design /warp mob, the economy would once again plummet due to people who spent a lot on gold having a next to worthless item No support although I see what your trying to say
I really don't think so. It would be easiER, yes, but that's the point. It would not be way too easy to grind away for hours to get gold. Nor would its value plummet. Drop a little, obviously, but the point I'm trying to reinforce here is that gold isn't a staple in the economy and it wouldn't suffer if its value dipped. It's not like massive quantities of gold would be brought in overnight. Another reason - right now the only way for greenies to get into the economy is through grass, which latches nearly every new non-donor onto the price of one material. Gold could be a second material that isn't tied to grass.
Well, I agree that /warp mob could be better designed, although pigmen, as mentioned, would be a hard mob to deal with, and Gold is much to easy to obtain that way, unless they could modify the mob Not to drop gold. But as far as it goes with this suggestion I would not support it. iRevveh
It's been suggested quite often now. The problem here's that there'll be players farming gold with godmode, thus decreasing the value of gold significantly - it'd be a great disadvantage to many players.
You guys forget the days where you could afk at a spawner for 10 minutes, come back, kill all your pigmen, and get 2 stacks of gold blocks. Don't tell me the economy will plunder, as gold is primarily a untraded item. I have not(honestly) seen one person in chat saying "Selling gold"(or etc.) Sure, gold back then was far easier to get-and STILL uncommonly traded. Adding it at warp mob would be an incentive to do something public, ergo bringing the community together theoretically.
My ideas exactly. It certainly won't hurt players, if anything it will help them. The price of gold is also too high right now, in my opinion. At /warp grass the price is one to one.
disagree. for people like me who literally do nothing but be on servers, i can just /god and keep clicking at them, gaining loot and all sorts. also, the economy which i wont talk aout cause of all the butthurt people. thirdly, pigmen were removed along with zombies because they both had a chance of giving ingots or nuggets.
No support, sorry. When Ma j was here, it was never a problem getting gold. (I'm totally fine if Ma j doesn't come back) After it was removed it was a challenge trying to get gold. Adding Pigmen to /warp mob is a terrible idea. It'll be easy to get gold. Wouldn't you want to feel the challenge?
for warp mob- support reason- if cyp made the spawners insane like they used to, and only put 1-2 pigmen spawners. it presents a challenge again. a challenge cause tons of skeles shooting arrows at you, creepers blowing up in your face, everything overruning the place and attacking you, is a challenge already, even more so cause they rarely drop a gold bar, and commonly drop 0-1 nuggets. there were so many mobs, and so many players in the shack, youd be lucky to get any as others would probably pick it up. also, i would applaud the person donor100 or higher that took the time to farm one of those at warp mob, you have alot of time on your hands, for something you could buy TONS MORE OF by using your kit at warp grass than attempting to farm it from there. upto... 100's i think 6-7 gold blocks a day, if you sell a diamond and use all the grass. 250's can get tons more. 400's could buy an insane amount (all kits so 4 diamonds, and more grass) for private spawners- no support, ever. many obvious reasons. that would easily be abused. for example, penguin had 64 spawners running a while back. i wont say much more, just imagine that image.. actually i might have it still, but anyways imagine. ================================================================================== ... i tried keeping this short. i just cant post it without explaining things. ive been at this for like an hour, retyped this twice now. anyways, hope you reconsider warp mob. and consider all factors of it. i may miss some idk. please explain how itd get abused lol, i cant seem to grasp it after putting everything into consideration.. i mean, if mob continues the way it is now, maybe. but if it goes back to normal, i dont think so 0.0
