It happens to me all the time. You cannot kill/trap him as you can get banned for PKing then. Your best chance is to Lockette the blocks around him & wait as long as you can. Yes, they can /jump out of it...but you can't really do much about it. Just get rid of or protect every valuables on your island - they won't really bother to grief then.

 

I asked krissy if lava killing is allowed, she said if its for self defense it is.

 

Also, self defence can be used as for a players self, players island and players objects

 

Yes, but so far he hasn't posed a threat to you at all, you claimed he had nothing with him when he got to your island, so he can't grief much, and you haven't told him to leave(as far as I know), so you can't kill/trap him, as it's still illegal.

 

Well, I've seen players get banned for that, so I suggest you take any screenshots of the chat/screen that may help you out in case of any arguments later. Also, what if she/he has /godmode on? Is she/he a Donor100?

Edit: Technically speaking, placing lava because he left on your island isn't exactly self-defence, since he/she didn't pose any immediate threats towards you. I suggest you ask Krissy if your case counts as self-defence.

Well, still. What if he/she has 2 stacks of diamond blocks on her inventory & lose them from burning, just because she may have accidentally left the game on your island? Without screenshots, I doubt things will go in your favor if there are arguments caused by that.

That means the player will die from lava if their reaction's not fast enough/they're on low health.

Well, still...oh well, I guess it's really up to the choice that you make & the judgement of the moderators. Technically speaking, you can't harm him/her, just because you think he/she may grief your island. If it turns out to be just an accident logging off on your island & the player loses their items, there's a chance that you may get banned for PKing.
