Before you read this here's just an overall background of my experience with SkyBlock. I've started this around 8-9 months ago. I've made many new friends such as MAQWERD, Rlixir, Maxi, YYY, etc. It's been a fun time seeing the server grow into a MASSIVE fun community. It started from a 5x5 spawn, then they made a new space in which we know today as noob spawn. Finally a even better spawn was created along with it. They made a mob arena in which you know today as /warp donorpvp. The spawn grew tremendously into /warp newspawn which basically came to a surprise loaded with tons of compact info. Speaking of info /warp info was created helping players to follow the rules. Finally, /warp skybase came making a great community trade center along with special events such as Halloween.
It all started with me discovering this on the Minecraft forums. I looked into it deeply and finally decided I would join. As soon as I start I learn all the basic rules and expanded my island. Over the 8 months I have played this, I helped many people, made my island into a nice home, and reported some individuals due to their illegal trades and what not.
Well it's finally time to read my application

Thecman2OOO's mod application

1.Your in-game name: Thecman2OOO (capitalized o's not zero's) with the /nick of Thecman.

2.How old are you? 12. Remember age is just a number (I'm mature for my age). If you're wondering, I'm currently in 6th grade.

3. What time zone do you live in? I live in the PST time zone.

4. What country do you live in? I currently live in Westminster, California in the United States of America.

5. What languages do you speak? I speak English and Thai. I mainly speak English since I only use Thai to talk to my grandparents. Unfornately, I don't know how to write in Thai.

6. Have you ever been banned? Yes I have been temp banned on .net for 10 minutes since I didn't know that shooting people with a bow with flame could hurt them. I'm sorry about this, but hey people make mistakes

7. Why do you think you should be a mod? The first reason why I should become a mod is because I would do my best to stop griefers from trying to ruin the skyblock expierence. I constantly see many people in chat screaming away saying, "I've been griefed! I need mod help!" I would want to prevent this from happening by helping every single person who got griefed even if I'm busy. I would teleport to the distressed player(s) and asked them what exactly happened. Then I would log block the island to see what was destroyed/griefed/looted. I would then end it off by telling them who griefed and ban the offender.

The second reason why I should become a mod is because I would like to stop advertisers in our server. Many people try to advertise and continue doing it even if people or myself warned them already. Even though the skyblock plugin censors ips, the person who is doing wrong is still loitering in our server probably causing more trouble than needed.

The third reason why I should become a mod is that I always help players in the server or forums. Whenever I get on the server, I always say, "If you need help with skyblock related questions msg me!" If somebody doesn't think that my answers are correct, I always tell them to go to /warp FAQ.

The fourth reason why I should become a mod is that I prevent people from trading starter items. I would often say in the chat, "Trading (illegal item) is illegal and a bannable offense." If I catch somebody doing it, I would report to a mod/admin/dev to temp ban or ban him/her/them.

The final reason why I should become a mod is that I know how to handle tough situations. For example, at my school one of my friends threatened to beat up another person since that person accidentally bumped into him. I said to my friend to stop his aggression towards the other kid since it was an accident. I also stated that if you did hurt the random adolescent, you would most likely get expelled/suspended from school. My friend then realized that he was doing something unneeded and stopped his aggrression towards the teenager.

Even though I know being a mod does take most of your time helping people, I would help even though I can't play skyblock that much. I'm willing to give up the pleasure of doing certain things since I would dedicate my time to helping people first.

8. What qualifications do you have? I'm a nice person who tries to do their best in game or irl. I consider myself a very smart person since I have straight A's in all my subjects. My lowest grade is a 100% I'm an over achiever. I'm also in Pre-Algebra, but I'm suppose to be in Math 6. I can also type 75 words wpm, the second fastest in my keyboarding class.

9. How long can you be on the server everyday? I could be on for 1-3 hours during weekdays while on weekends I would usually be on for 1-7 hours. On weekdays I would usually be on around 3:00-6:00 while on weekends I would go on anytime. I've also spend my time going on the forums daily for 20-30 minutes a day.

10. How long have you been playing Skyblock? I've been playing Skyblock since the beginning so I'll say about 10 months. I've always enjoyed playing Skyblock since it was a fun challenge. I've made a lot of new friends and had many great moments in this time frame. The most fun part about staying is watching the server grow.

11. Do you have any past expierence as being a mod? Yes I have had TONS of past expierence as being a mod. I've been a mod on 6 servers ranging from 10-800 people playing. As mod on these servers, I would usually get a lot of pms about questions, rules, griefing, etc. I would explain to the player(s) what not to do or what to do. I've handle many bizarre situations ranging from griefs to bribery. I handle griefs by asking both sides questions first just for a hyposthesis of what category this situation is. Then, I see what was exactly stolen, destroyed, etc. Finally, I claim my answer to this certain situation and see if the person deserves a ban or not. Often times I would look at the chat to see if any problems are either going into cause or have already taken place. The only problem is that sometimes the chat goes too fast and I can't help the player(s) with their problems. Unfortunately 4 of the servers I was mod on shut down due to the lack of money.
