So, as seen as gummybear fisherman has decided to make a Skyblock.net Wiki (view thread) I thought I'd tag along and make a Skyblock.org Wiki type thing. Now, I have only just started this so, I will be giving updates on what is going on with the site.

The first update will be the theme of the website (aka the background and fonts

 

Sounds cool~ Won't be able to add on much on this Wiki, as I'm not very knowledgeable about .ORG...but I'm looking forward to it~ :')

I like wikis. I guess it's probably unnecessary with the rules warps and forum, but for those sorts of people who just really like wikis (me!) it's a good idea and extra information never bothered me! I would be happy to contribute a little once you've made a good start on it ^^ (at the very least, I'm told I'm a good proof reader) x

 

Ok, I've been working really hard on the website for the past week and a half or-so! I'm so close to being finished. Just need to add some finishing touches. I have published the site for you to see.

Spelling Error in the donate section
"obline 24/7"

 

For rules: Bridging and grieving isn't possible due to world guard. The only grief could be joining a coop, grieving and leaving which (I think) is legal as you are letting the person join the coop. As well as this, using mob spawners on islands (looting) is legal IF it's part of a warp.

 

Also add /clearwarps for if you forget your warp name and want to delete it.

I'm pretty sure griefing is still possible (islands that aren't protected), but I'm not 100% sure. I'll have to check

Killing someone's animals can be considered griefing on .Org and yes some islands are unprotected. Bridging is still possible if your neighbour has built up to the 99x99 limit.

Rules section:
Rule 2 - "ask for staff" should be "ask staff for" ?
Rule 4 - SP disrespectful
Rule 6 - a link where it says "illegal items" taking you to a list of all illegal to trade items (perhaps a sub section below on same page?) would be a good idea.
IMO overall this section is pretty good, nice and clear, maybe also mention "for more in-depth rules, visit /warp rules"? I think "depending on what the staff member decides" at the end is a bit unnecessary haha. It makes it sound like mods just make the rules up depending on how they are feeling at the time

Getting Started section:
Commands:
New island - SP Creates "and" island
New island replace - GR should be "with" not "for" I think
R msg - I think it ought to say "who messaged you" rather than "you messaged" although it works for both.
Near - I think this description is a bit vague ... it perhaps ought to say something like "See who is within 100 blocks from you (default, can be changed)". I'm not 100% sure whether 100 is the default and whether you can actually change it, need to double check
Chat - Perhaps rather than saying "only people at spawn" can see your messages, it should say "only people near you" as otherwise people might get the wrong idea about what local chat does.
Suggestion: why not add "/warp shop to teleport to the admin shop".

Economy:
Server Economy - GR I think it should be players' not player's, plural apostrophe rule?
Setting a warp - not bad grammar just phrased strangely :/ perhaps "where" rather than "of which"?
Chest shop sign placement guide: Perhaps some text as well saying "You can also place a sign on the floor in front of the chest" or similar. You could also mention that right clicking a shop sign that you own should open the chest to which it is connected, to test that it will work for other players.

Donate section: This looks fine to me, perhaps a small mention that if you wish to donate to .net not .org, that the shop is different and to take care as there is no guarantee that you will be able to get a refund or transfer your donorship if you make a mistake. I know it's unlikely that anyone reading the .org wiki is trying to donate to .net but who knows how people will find the page, perhaps if they use something like bing anyway better to be on the safe side.

Vote section: I know this has been covered elsewhere in the wiki but some people just click the tabs at the top without reading all the text. If they visit this section they might not understand what it's about. Perhaps a small bit of text at the top saying that you can vote for the server via the following websites for 100 Skybucks per day per link!

Haha my contribution was minimal, I'd only want credit if say I created an entire page or section or something ^^ so unless someone's done enough to warrant the recognition, I don't think a credit's section is really needed... who reads them anyway? Haha. But at the end of the day it's your project, add one if you want to. Personally I wouldn't bother. Just your name is enough imo.

Another section you might like to add: I remember the first time I played, the first thing I asked was, hello, what's the difference between .org and .net? Many players join .org from .net and think it's basically the same but there's more to it than that... perhaps highlighting the key differences somewhere would be a good idea? (e.g. economy, world guard, diff items illegal to trade...) Idk I just woke up and am not thinking very clearly yet haha.

Another thing you could mention: that Noobcrew servers are all part of a larger "family" of servers. You could have a bit mentioning some of the other servers if someone likes .org and wants to try something different. Perhaps it's not really a good idea idk. x
