SkyforSkylee's Moderator Application​

Before we start I want to just say to whoever looks at this thank you for you time and patience about dealing with who is going to be a mod or not. Even if I don't become a mod I am glad I had the oppertunity to at least try. As you know we already have some great mods in the game and you wouldnt think we needed anymore. So, on behalf of all of us, thank you.

A little about me. I am very active on weekends and love to play on Minecraft. If I see people in need in real life, say my friends, I help them, because if is usually the right thing to do. I am very addicted to sarcasm and randomness. I love horseback riding and just chilling with my crazy friends who have always helped me. I HATE HIGHTS I know that its toatally off topic and random but I do!

Fun things about me! Here are some fun things about me in minecraft and real life! I LOVE watching youtubers doing things on minecraft, for example Stampylongnose, Zexyzek, SquashyQuack, ihascupquake, and some others! My weapon of choice if I had to pick one on the server would be the bow, just because I am a HUNGER GAMES FREAK!! Lastly I know I may not seem like I help, but I do try help people if they need it and if they dont listen to me then its not my fault. The way I help people on Skyblock is by messiging them other wise they might not listen.

Have you ever been banned? (if yes, why?) Yes, once because I had some trouble with my membership, and I got banned because the money was returned to my parents, but everything was sorted out and I am no longer banned.

Why do you think you should be a mod? I think I should be a mod because I like to help people when they need it and people always tell me I am always so helpful. But most of all because I feel that I can help keep people from being hurt on the server. I also would do this for a job if I could because it is so fun to help people, especially in tough situations. I would be on a lot so if someone was being greifed I could be there to help and maybe in a tough situation get a better more experienced mod/super mod to help. The best thing that would help if I was a is that I could be heard. Because people don't usually listen, unless its a mod, message, or donor. I would be very glad to actually help people in a tough, or rough situation at their island on Skyblock. I know that this sometimes dosen't matter but I am a fun approachable person who is outgoing and crazy! The biggest reason I want to be a mod is because I don't want people to get hurt while playing a game. But for real those people who cyber bully might have a good reason to do it, I am not saying its a good thing cause trust me, its happened to me before, but I am just saying that something bad could have caused them to cyber bully, say their parents divorced. And I feel that on this server the mods are needed to do that. I know That I am not very active on the forums but I think that if I was a moderator I could do a lot more to help.

How long can you be active on the server every day? At least 3-4 hours on weekdays. About 3-6 hours on weekends sometimes even longer depending on my
schedule

Do you have any past experience as a moderator? Yes I am actually a head admin on a server currently.

1. do not use colour, it makes it look unprofessional
2. you need more detail on why u want to be staff
3. make sure u put your timezone on your title (example) (est) SkyforSkylee's mod application
4. do not just tell us how long you play a day, tell us how many days u play a day
5. I will give u 5/10 support for your application but u need more to it

Things to improve: ok so start off by only putting the questions in colour and make the questions bold so they stand out. In order to get better support from me you need to add more detail in to the why part. It is good that you care for other players and that shows you are looking out for the server but maybe add some key attributes or extra things about you. It would also help if you spaced out your questions so that there is a lines gap inbetween each subject. I never saw you helping or being active in game or on the forums because they are important jobs, being active. Other wise you seem like a kind, caring person that looks out for people and you will be able to deal with the rule-Breakers wisely. For now it's only %56 support but I will raise it if you change it a little. - Cuddly

Yes Neon, You go into fourms, scroll down, hit "Applications" , then click the Mod Application Button

 

Ok when you go on to " Moderator applications on ,Net " the third from the top will stand out and I will say moderator application template. Hope this helped - Cuddly

Yah you took my advice. It's looking way better already It would still be good if you could bold the questions and still space them out. You have added on the why and that is good but I want to know a little more about you and what things are special about you and what would make you stand out from the other moderators. I'll give you extra support if you add some wow factor you know something that makes your application stand out from the others and maybe add a little humor. Hey there Skylee! Here's some things you should improve on your mod application.
1.) Add more details on why you should be mod and youre skills, like helpful, kind etc. and how you're those things.
2.) Make your app a little longer.
3.) Actually help the players with their problems.
4.) Get on more frequently on both the forums and skyblock community.

You are a very nice player. You just need more experience. You just joined the forums today and made the application today. Get a better feel with the forums, play around with it a little bit. Be a bigger part of the community by being more active here.

You are mature and enjoyable to talk to, your application needs more detail, specifically in the 'Why do you want to be a mod?' Section.

50% support for now, get a better feel for the community and gain some experience.

I am with the other posts above, 50% support. Except for my quote thing.

 

I give you 80% Support for the following reasons

• Positives: You are really helpful in game and you help using /msg which doesn't clog up the chat.
• You are a nice and friendly person which is a great part of being a Mod.
• You are quite experienced in-game.

• Negatives: Only forum activity, but don't worry, there's nothing you can do about this than just keep coming on here and helping and talking

You need more...of a "fierce" approach, shall I say. Such as stating why your promotion to moderator would benefit in the long term.

 

- some spelling errors lol
- not sure what technique 'messing' fellow skyblockers is bud, but it sure doesn't sound right
- kinda new to the forums, but this takes time
