Just yesterday you said something along the lines of "Admins should've listened to me, not .org is being ddos'd."
Why encourage people to DDoS it? This is unrelated. Coding has nothing to do with Moderator on this server.
I said that if they had listened to me, then ORG wouldnt have been take down. I did not say: Because the admins did not listen to me, i'm going to ddos the server. I wouldn't ddos the server nor am i the type of person who kicks the man who is already on the ground.
This account seems shifty...:/ It joined the forums right as this application was created & all it did was support this application. Nothing else has been done to it - not even a single change in the settings. :I I'm not accusing you of using an alt. accounts - just wanted to point it out. Your application is neat, but generally need more detail. Other than that, I like the style. Now, as for your activity. Since I'm not a .ORG player, I won't point out anything about your in-game activity. However, your forum activity mis quite poor & from what I can tell, you seem very immature threatening other players/the server. I'm not just talking about the DDOS issues. Some things you mentioned here just then may seem quite threatening to some people & in general, just immature. Thus, I cannot support you for now. Good luck. Edit: Also, try not to mention your donation in your application. It's against the rules. :/
This is a great application and you are very experienced. I will give you %85 Untill you are more active on the forums. Good job and good luck - Cuddly
I do not know who this john silger guy is. I do know someone with the last name silger though. I go to school with her. My dad was one of the designers of their 1.4 Million dollar home. I checked with her and she did not have any siblings or known relatives by this name. There is also no minecraft account linked to it and, you're exactly right- He has not posted more than on this page. I was going to report him, but when other people said nothing about it, I left the post be. I understand what you are saying with the rest of your post. I understand that you do not play .org, but understand that I did play enough to donate. As for my negatives. You have to understand that I have one of the most stressful jobs there is (according to The best (and worst) jobs for 2014 Computer Systems Analyst). I get easily enraged by little things and tend to use my extensive knowledge in computers to cause harm to others. I am living stress free (until Jan 12). Threats are the first resort and where I work, I don't get punished for them. I'm like the admins on this server. I have authority and wont usually get heat for screwing up. I am able to 'ban' students (detention/suspension/ even given an expulsion) Its a problem I am working on dealing with.
I understand the current position you're in & I respect that. However, in that case, I don't think it's the best decision for you to try out to become a moderator at rhe current moment in time. A moderator can be a very, very stressful job. It'll add on to your stress from your IRL job & I doubt that's a good thing. You won't last long with these factors coming in to play. I'm not saying that you're a bad candidate. I just want to say that I don't think it's a very good idea for you to become a server moderator, given your current circumstances. Eh?
Agree 110%. This is my first year as an IT. Im making more money than what CNBC listed. I created this app over fall break. In other words, before my job became stressful
If you get enraged easily, you'll be an awful moderator. You can get so much s*** for your decisions. And if you tend to use your knowledge to harm others, and there is proof you do harm someone's internet. You butt will get kicked so far away from these servers you don't even know. In chat you constantly tell people to stop or you'll boot them offline, yet you apply for mod. You clearly have no idea what a moderator is if you do any of this, plus Cyp doesn't give one fudge about being able to code. Learn what mod is and get your s*** together then consider a mod app. I hate to be rude on mod apps, but you'd be an awful mod.
my bad. I was actually looking for an application by you. Full support, you're active, friendly, and you care.
I admit it, i threatened. Once.... and I got banned for it. It was near impossible to get unbanned, but Jelly trusted that I would change and he was darn right! I haven't screwed up again since!
I'll be honest, I'm 25% atm, but the fact you use gave out your school's ip like it doesn't matter really doesn't let me trust you being able to see everyone's ip.
Anyone can get the ip! The schools website is Tsc.k12.in.us which is the exact same as 72.12.204.17 Try it. Click both, they will both lead to the exact same place. You could get the ip with a simple google search and a few keystrokes into an IP lookup site. The other Ip, 72.12.204.29, is the Web Filter powered by Lightspeed Systems. 72.12.204.29 = ls2.tsc.k12.in.us & 72.12.204.17 = tsc.k12.in.us Nothing private about either one of them. its whats beyond them that is private (and inaccessible from anywhere but the school) Try going to them. Copy and paste either set into tabs in your browser. The sites will be identical. One thing to keep in mind: Computers like numbers, people like words/names. Your computer sees 74.125.206.136 we see Youtube.com (may take you to google.com!) One more thing to note about this so-called 'mistake' is that IP addresses for businesses and schools don't have to be kept so secretive like our smartphones and houses IPs do. The school can call Wintek and we can get a new IP in 15 minutes flat. Most ISPs that provide service to homes, like Comcast and Metronet, may not allow an IP change. Some ISPs do, but it could take weeks to get your request resolved.
