Hi, my IGN is GTechNerd. Everyone loves potions but unfortunately some people abuse them. Invisibility potions can be used to grief and steal. I've lost stuff at skybase three times today and Anonymous had just lost 21 diamonds in one trade. I'm pretty sure we are not the only ones. I understand that /near can be used to prevent stealing from happening; however, most players are not aware that this command exist. I propose that invisibility potions be banned or disabled at skybase/trading areas. There is a small chance that this is going to happen but it's worth trying. Last and not least, please fix logs as possible. Thanks for reading! Feel free to share your opinions!

I don't see the need. It doesnt effect /near so it really isn't doing any harm.

I support this idea. There are players in trading rooms hidden by the potion. They snatch items from a lot of players. :/

Edit: Maybe just in certain public warps. Regional permission stuff. Eh?

If you're doing a trade at skybase, do /near 4 anywhere in the trading room to show all players in a 4 block radius/vicinity therefore it shows everyone in your room. If there's two people (you and the trader) you're good to go! There's really no reason to ban the potions, players can just craft them, and let's be honest, they can be quite fun when used sensibly!

I don't know if the essentials pack can do this, we might have to find a plugin if not and if there isn't a plugin we need a dev. Unless we already have one. In that case, I've been living my life wrong

Don't forget the current "can't see players who are in 1.8" issue.

The player could be just on a different version of MC and not using potions.

Yeah I think there should be a way to reverse inv potions when at skybase and making it impossible to use the potions at skybase.
Otherwise make sure you keep particle on and use /near before trading.

I don't support removing them fully, as they can be used for other purposes by others. If there was a way to remove invisibility effects in skybase that would work.

This can be done in WorldGuard, by taking away the permission for using potions from the players within the SkyBase area.

but the point is they could drink the potions then warp to skybase so you would need something to remove the effects of the potion at skybase too.

That's a good point...but can't the developer (if we have one) code it so that all effects are cancelled on /warp skybase command? (I know it's possible for a fact...but do we have a developer? :/)

Sure, the players can fly over there or teleport, but I doubt anyone would try to steal up to that extent...or would they? :/

Disabling potion effects at skybase would mean that the beacons in the skin comp area would likely have to be removed.

The effect given at the skin competition is useless anyways. Eh? Isn't it Haste II or something? Or was it Speed?
