What I don't understand is why 10 diamonds Is worth $1 ingame but to buy 32 it's $45 on the forums to donate?
Its litterally been at that price since getting diamonds was actually something that was challenging to do.
As Abrupt said, it's because diamonds actually used to be hard to obtain. Now everyday skygods ger three diamonds, which makes it really hard for lower donators and even non donators to obtain any.
100 donors get a diamond a day. And skygod used to be an impressive thing. Now a large number of people have it. 3 diamonds a day from at least 100 skygods. 1 dia a day from at least 300 100 donors. 600 diamonds a day. A year and a half ago it was hella lot less. Maybe 10 diamonds a day from any non-skygods.
Before the huge amount of donors with their kits. Stacks of diamonds flow into the economy everyday. Only way they are brought out is the diamond trade villager at /warp donor
Simple answer? because people made up the price of diamonds in game and it didnt match the shop price and thats just the way it is
I guess the 10 dias to $1 is partly concocted so the people doing the upgrade get the most diamonds for their money. Although some people who do the upgrades will go down, Goku got me my $10-$25 for 80 - 95 dias(I used 33 dias and made up the rest with a beacon, some emeralds, some iron and quartz if you're curious) when it was supposed to be 150, so don't be sure that the normal price is what you will pay.
I think she is asking about diamonds on net for things on net..... Well anyways, I think diamonds are worth around 21-30 grassblocks atm.
The price of diamonds has gone down since the 1.6.4 - 1.7 update. The Essentials plugin failed, and all kits reset every 24 hours, which was pretty OP for people with /kit spawner. This glitch lasted a couple months. The economy has never been the same since... 40 diamonds for a beacon? Back in my day, you could get a beacon for 20 diamonds. The price of diamonds has practically halved.
Yeah I know I used to play when it first kinda started then I had a break to study and since I've been back lots of things have changed aha
