IGN- revned427/iRevveh Timezone- GMT+10:00 Australian Eastern Standard Time Languages I Speak- English, A small portion Spanish, where I am able to adress people in saying Hi (Hola) and how are you? (Como Estas Usted?). I am currently working towards more Spanish language. Have I been banned?- Yes, on one occasion for Advertising Why I think I Should be a Mod- I think I should be a Mod because I enjoy helping and/or assisting people whenever I have spare time, I am Always up to a challenge whether it be something like banning someone or dealing with spam, or a grief on a mass scale. I have always been a loyal person and I am friendly, I will not treat others with disrespect no matter what the situation is. I will always be there to help anyone who may need it, no matter the severity. The server is something I want to last a long time, and I want to be there to enforce the rules and help players achieve new goals, whilst keeping the server free as best I can of bad behaviour and rule-breakers. I am a nice person and have never used bad language on the server, nor have I been muted. I have been banned from the server on one occasion for misreading the rules and advertising a server in the chat. I have, in some instances, reported players for language and advertising, I have always been there to help many people and I intend to keep it like that. I am always polite and use appropriate language when interacting with other mods and players. I go by one motto, what you give out, you receive. This motto goes very well with me and my behaviour as it is very true and coincidentally, it applies to almost every situation. My skills dealing with issues are well above adequate and my in-game capability to respond to requests and reports is satisfying. I am always on the forums at least twice every day, I keep the window open as I am frequently reporting players (sadly) for bad behaviour. If chosen to be a Mod, I would use my abilities responsibly and make sure that I remember that these abilities are Privileges, and that they are not to be abused. I think that if I were to have the opportunity to be a moderator, I'd definitely strive to do my best. Below are some common things that a mod would need to remember and follow at all times. Some Traits I have that will do me good as a Moderator Observant: I am always looking at the server chat and helping where ever possible. I always make sure to look for people asking questions or requesting assistance. Grammar/Spelling: I have always been very accurate with Grammar and Spelling in all aspects of life. I love to make sure that what I send is both correct and valid, while also being understandable so I can be understood. Honesty: It is absolutely necessary to be an honest player. If you make a mistake in life, or in game, it is always the best choice to be honest. Although you will still be in strife, it wont be near as bad as if you were to lie about it. I am able to remain honest at all times. Patience: This is a huge part of being a Moderator. It took me time to learn patience, and after a period of time I have. This skill is compulsory for Moderation, because with being a Mod comes issues where players can spam you or repetitively ask for attention, this is a situation where patience and calm is necessary. I am now able to control my patience and am able to help without getting cross or agitated. Respect: This is huge in general. Respect is to be shown to all players and members of the Skyblock community at all times. If the situation is stressful, it is always good to remain calm and be respectful to the player who may be causing issues i.e. swearing. Respect in general is always to be shown and to all members at all times when online or on Forums. How often am I online daily? - Monday- 2 hours, on holidays, 4-5 Tuesday- 1 hours, on holidays, 4-5 Wednesday- 2 hours, on holidays, 4-5 Thursday- 1 hours, on holidays, 4-5 Friday- 3 hours, on holidays, 4-5 Weekends (both days) 5-6 if not working. Do I have any past experience as a moderator? - I have experience using the Log Block Plugin and have sufficient knowledge of how to deal with server and player issues. Thanks for reading my application, Regards and best wishes to all other applicants. iRevveh/revned427
No need to say sorry. Now for my opinion, I like, that you have nice grammar, detailed application and you aren't that new on the forums, though I think you should contribute on forums more. I recommend copy-pasting the questions, then bolding an spacing them out, it makes your application a lot easier to read. Now for the color part-having a lot color isn't always good, as it makes it a hard to read and we have colorblinds here, if you'd like to add color maybe very briefly. I think I have seen you in game, though I can't recall if I've seen you helping. anyway Rev, I won't be giving you a %, I'll keep a lookout for you in-game, though. Good luck.
Please give more information and detail. I do see you helping in-game too (yay!) Right now I give you 75% support
Please do not accuse someone without proof. As for the application, pretty well written, although a little more details on certain sections would be appreciated. For example, you said a 'small portion of Spanish'. Exactly how much? Give us examples. But, forget all those technical stuff. It's the action that matters. You are by far one of the most helpful players on the server, along with the moderators, Noveh & a few other players I've been keeping my eye on. Ever since I joined the server, I was able to see you helping hundreds, if not thousands of players without fail. Definitely full support. Good luck bud.
100% Support. ~You help, a lot. ~Nice grammar. ~You'd fit for the job. However, ~Be active on the forums a bit more. ~Add a good amount more of detail on why you should be a Moderator. ~Make a Schedule of how long you can be online. That's all for now. Good luck
I definitely support. Although I am only new I know my wife is jealous of the amount of time Im online. I think there is two type of people in this world. Those thats that want to help behind the scenes logistics, resources, complaints etc and those that are on the front line dealing with things as they happen. Reading above I see iRevveh as the later. Thats not to say one role is more important then the other and if they can do both great. But don't penalise someone just because they focus on one side more then the other, its only natural. I know he has helped me. along with countless other questions asked.
