I can't do any commands at all, it just says "/command is not allowed in this area."
(/command means /TheCommandIPutIn)
I can't do /spawn (But I'm already at spawn)

I can't chat either
I've tried rejoining but nothing happens

You must walk outside of the little "hut" built at spawn, as far as I've experienced, you cannot do any commands within that 5x5 (or whatever it is), area. Try walking towards the signs or candy canes, then retrying.

 

I've done commands outside of there, still nothing.

 

There is no command such as /island, it's /home
also, do you have an alternate account to test if it's primarily only that way on your account, not both?
Edit: when at spawn, move to this quartz slab. Commands work here.

 

From what I have heard, you can't do commands at spawn to stop spambots.

 

If you cannot do commands at spawn, then everyone would be stuck there. Just follow what I posted to do and you should be able to type commands.

 

I mean in the hut, as spambots can't move, therefore they can't do commands and talk.

The area in the middle of spawn has all commands and chat disabled to prevent most spambot attacks from happening since people usually don't have the bots move, but with some clients they can move to a certain user and stuff and yeah you can guess what happens next.

Basically SPAM bots only have a partial client which allows them to send and/or receive messages but not do other minecraft functions, much like MineChat. So to minimise SPAM bots, you may not perform any commands at spawn, this prevents SPAM bots from functioning since they cannot move outside the spawn area.
