Exactly! That's entirely my point. It is also my choice to question how they want the server ran. Well not question, but more askknow how they want it ran. They can run there server how ever they want. I, nor any of us really have a say except refusing to spend more money on it

I am honestly wondering the banning process etc. You have said many times how you lie to get what you want and will be the same way you always are. Again not attacking, just stating fact. Lets just say we are talking about John Smith here to take the Shadowdragon name out of the picture. How many times does one lie to a mod get unbanned and repeat to ACTUALLY get banned perma. I just feel there is a process here to bypass other mods to get a friend unbanned. Everyone deserves a second or perhaps a third chance. But currently it seems IF you know someone you are just about untouchable and can get away with last chance after last chance
Hi Pledgefree, I completely understand how you feel, and yes, this server is indeed a G rated server for kids and G rated conversations, G rated content. The one exception to this, some what controversially, is the allowance of minecraft nicknames containing inappropriate language, since that is beyond the server's control and the accounts should never have been created in the first place. I take a particularly serious stance towards this issue because of the known impact that such language and inappropriate behavior can subliminally shape a child's development in the later years, even if it's not something they directly read (perhaps just glance over), and the fact that the majority of the server's population falls into this bracket of susceptible individuals. These same susceptible individuals however, are also responsible for the majority of the inappropriate content. As moderators one of the charters is to provide a safe and friendly environment for players to enjoy, however this is not always possible, simply because mods are not always online 24/7. Thus we have a reporting process in place, however that will not solve the immediate problem of preventing the individual(s) from polluting the chat with their comments. Bear in mind that we have a large, diverse group of players from many backgrounds, including some who may not have the privilege of having loving, caring parents to watch over their development, or some who may have intellectual or other developmental disabilities which hinder them from participating within a normal social context. A close analogy would be the dilemma faced by an upper-class restaurant having to deal with a kid with Tourette's: Should they kick the kid out (and risk discrimination) or allow them to stay and disrupt the quiet enjoyment of other patrons? I will however, make this promise (I was going to use the word pledge but it sounded a little :S) : shadowdragon has been given a final warning. If you see any evidence of misbehavior on their part, make a report with the appropriate screenshots and tag me, and will ensure that they remain banned on NET indefinitely. I am hobbled somewhat by the fact that I live in a different timezone to the majority of the players, but I give you my word I will deal with it as expediently and as fairly as possible. I do agree with you ironically. I really do deserve to be permanently banned. And I have seen what you are wondering about. Lots of players get many chances but yet will still never be perma banned. That is a good question for lots of people to ask, but yet, will there be a good answer to counter it? Like the rest of you, I really don't know. I just want you to know Pledge, I have changed my attitude since my last appeal was accepted; you and others can get to know my good side and you and I could most likely become good friends, Would you consider starting fresh with me? Get to know the good side of me?
As always blaq very well written. Thank you for the response. This like I keep saying, was not a crusade to lobby for Shadow to be perma banned. I just wanted to know why he or anyone keeps finding breaks in the chain of command here and we ALL know what I mean. There just needs to come a time when you say "Sorry, but you blew it. Nothing I can do here anymore" even to your best ONLINE friend. Thanks for being the first mod to post here. Maybe if nothing else a mod or two will learn from this and say 'Sorry I can't help you" to there friend. I know most mods are like 14 or so and are themselves EXTREMELY vulnerable to trying to do the popular thing versus the right thing. There is abuse in power in basically all aspects of life. We just have to minimize it the best we can. As stated below even Shadow say's he has no idea why he keeps getting unbanned, proving a major issue you mods need to address or else there is a large loss of respect for authority from player to mod. At least that's how I see it.
It seems like if you appeal your chances of getting unbanned are quite high, even in the state I was in, I still got unbanned (dont get me wrong im grateful for it) maybe they just need to be more assertive in appeals and just give them the "appeal denied" :l
It's all about the person, look at me, got banned 2 times, one was incorrect, and they wanted to keep me permed the second time, but to me it does not seem fair that these players keep getting unbanned after the 10th time.
shadowdragon8798 I am probably the most forgiving person in the world. All anyone has to do is show me they deserve to be respected. It's pretty much that simple. Apologies mean nothing to me. Ask @Wolfenblack my son. He's like "I'd say sorry but I know you won't care" all the time. Actions are always better then apologies. Kids will be kids. I get that. But man I wish you kids could for example be a fly on the wall and see the pain that Ebola for example actually causes. There's not a person here that if went there would EVER make a joke about it again. I myself was a kid obviously and was HORRIBLE. I was the guy making all the jokes etc. But you soon realize you can really hurt someone with words. These younger kids really look up to you as a role model. Be less braggadocious. They love you no need to point out every two min how rich you are. It seems like you need to be admired. You don't. You are very respected without showing off. Lead by example. Again these kids will follow how you act. Remember one day you will have kids yourself. How would you like them to learn? That Ebola killing people is a good laugh? This is actually semi lame since we are talking about a video game, but it will affect these kids how they mold into teenagers and young adults. My son for example goes to school bragging about players asking him for a screenshot. Can't tell me that they don't see you saying the things you say and go to school saying and doing those same behaviors. Just when you think you wanna blow up at someone and act, can't remember your exact words, foolish just remember you are a role model with that [Skygod] title and your length of time played on this server.
The person and the CRIME. To me sure you grief, island farm etc those are server policies. But to me the worse offense is influencing young minds and corrupting them causing chat spam to go very far into the gutter. If for example Shadow was banned for griefing, scamming, killing a player, saying ebola once, advertising a server totaling 5 bans and was allowed back, i'd honestly not question it. To me it was and is the offences that have me questioning

Every single time, you also accepted that if you were banned again, that you would accept that it was permanent and not appeal. Own up for your actions, and accept your punishment.
Lets be real here. He's nit the only one. But this just goes to show the MLG appealers out there know their way around an appeal. Its hard to see if someone is sincere or not through text.
Here my take on this and I can honestly say you may not like this. Before I became a mod there was this player. He was constantly swearing, and being disrespectful and more. But you know what? every day I realised mods were kicking, muting and tempbanning. But never a permanent ban. This player was a greenbean. They would never behave. All shadows appeals except 2 have been for different crimes. The 2 recent crimes have been to do with anger, and conduct in chat. I don't like what shadow did. But it didnt deserve a perm ban. He needed either an extended tempban or an extended mute. Yes, shadow did insult you, and that can be a personal issue with you and shadow. I have been insulted many times and called many things and i just kick and mute where I see fit. I like to treat players as fairly as possible so even though shadow is a high rank he still deserves a kick, a mute, then tempban if it continues. Shadow can now expect a permanent ban for any conduct that is less than satisfactory, and for any vulgarity that is deemed to be too extreme or offensive. He might find himself with a permanent mute. Most of the instances of his rudeness are actually caused by people provoking him. Shadow says some things, people tell him to shut up instead of /ignore and he gets angry and then people complain. As for other vulgarity, shadow needs to learn to calm down. Again i do not condone what shadow did and he got his punishment, and now he knows he is literally on his last chance. And for what was said I hope you are aware that a lot of people are horrified at the treatment of an older member on the server. For all players i use the same punishments for vulgarity. Kick, kick,mute, tempban and for repeat offenders the length of the mutes and tempbans get longer and longer. I would only give 3 chances before I deem it necessary to perm ban, and the vulgarity would need to be very, very extreme.
If by this are you talking about his comments toward me? If so I hope so, YET I honestly don't hold much value in a random comment or two. I don't care about a comment here or there, but now if it's being spammed all over it's gonna piss me off. I don't think anyone should be banned for a comment, especially in /msg. I only brought it up for character purposes. I have always liked you krissy_punk and feel you are very fair. I agree with you that certain crimes do not warrant a perma ban, but if a player is a bad seed and just negative for the server there is a point, in my opinion this was past that, where a player was done with chances. Don't look at a certain example, but more so a overall body of work. Even tho he deserved NO MORE chances he was given another chance which I think was BS. But as of right now I find myself buying into Shadow so time will tell. Hope he doesn't let me down too

Just one line: I completely agree to you Pledge, and what Shadow did back then was definitely wrong - I too was very unhappy with the thing he said & did. However, let's give him 1 final chance to redeem himself. People change - and from what I could see in the past few days, he was quite friendly & seemed like a completely new player on the server. It's clear he's trying his best to change right now, so let's watch him for now. Still, if he becomes what he used to be again, sorry Shadow, but I'll be on Pledge's side then.
