They will each realise that "if I don't have blue eyes [Theory #1], then that other guy is the only blue-eyed person. And if he's the only person, by [Theory #1] he will commit suicide tonight." They each wait until the next day, and when neither of them are dead on the first night, they both realise... "My FIRST THEORY was incorrect. I must have blue eyes." (because otherwise the other man would have commit suicide by seeing that they were the only person with blue eyes) that And they would both commit suicide on the second night.
