I'm a bit confused personally. Some people are voting about 65 times or so a month, above the max - therefore using a method. For example, today is the 6th. However, some people have already voted 14 times, contrary to 12? Also, SourceForums has been telling me of how people on different sides of the world have an advantage to voting (being in the top 5). I'm just curious, can someone expand on this?

I will expand on this myself. For instance, let's say this month has 31 days. In that case, the maximum vote one should be able to get is 62, right? However, there will be people who will reach over that 'maximum', up to 66. The reasoning behind this is the different timezones & the time the voting system run on/reset. Sometimes, the system will count the 'last day of the previous month' and the 'first day of the next month' into this month's countings, due to the differences in the timezones. Do you get it now? So in a sense, they have an advantage. ;)

Well, even though I'm at a disadvantage, I did win the prize...however, once more & more people join this competition & realise this huge advantage, things will change quickly & the gaps will grow. Cyp can set a limit to how high one can vote per month. For example, if someone votes 64 times, he can ignore the last 2 & treat it as 62 votes. Just an idea. What do you think CypriotMerks?

Seems like some will get an unfair advantage but I guess you just have to keep voting

No one can do anything about it, except just keep voting.

The problem is with the voting site(minecraftserver & minecraft-server-list), and only they can do something to fix this.

They aren't randomised in ranking. It's about who voted first out of those that are tied.

How is it even possible to vote more than 2 times a day?

Look the current top monthly voter, and look at the daily votes. 9 votes in a 24 hour period? Are there other websites? Or they bypassing this someway? That is a complete unfair advantage.

9 votes in a 24 hour time frame...thats a complete disadvantage and they shouldn't qualify for the giveaways. I mean...wth!

As Source said, some timezones involve the 30th of Nov as a day in December

No. I don't think any timezones involve 30th of November on 8th of December 9 freaking times. -.-

I'm currently referring to the daily votes right now. How is it possible to vote 9 times in a day?
