Hello my name is Sullie98 and i have been playing the server for a while but i only just made a account and i have some ideas for the server

1. (Island Ranks) and what i mean by this is the bigger the island gets the higher the island ranks and the rarer the blocks on the island the higher the rank like (1 diamond block= 200 points) and that happends is you can "redeem your points" and there are tiers like tier 1 you get a grass block tier 2 you get ..... and so on.
2. (Island Wars) Every month there is a "Island War" and it's not what you think in this the people who want to show off there island can "people only enter if they want it isn't forced" and when the deadline to enter your island in the "Island Wars" is up there will be three judges "Staff or previously picked people that are not biest for one person" and these people will "judge" the islands and the "best" 3 islands will get "1st place:3 diamonds 2nd:2 diamonds and 3rd: 1 diamond and 2 iron".
3. (Mining Mondays) Every Other monday the server "Hosts" a mining monday meaning that there is a 20x20x2 hole and in this hole is 80% cobble 10%coal 5% iron 3%gold 1%diamond and 1%emerald and that is how it goes.
4. (Parkour Wednesdays) Every wednesday there is a Parkour challenge and everyone who wants to come goes to a public "warp" set up a day b4 the event and in this "only entered once (you fall your out)" and There can only be one WINNER. at the end the remaining "#" will go over parkour and "secretly there is PvP on" and the winner gets 2 Friendly spawn eggs of there choice (*Can't be iron golem*)
5. (auction chat) <As it says a private channel for auctions.

 

This is just my opinion:
1. The island ranks are very pointless... also there would have to be a lot of scripting / plugins needed to be added to the server (if you want it to be automatic) for it to even work...
2. The island war idea is an 'OK' idea but it would require a lot of manual work. Besides that I don't see anything else too bad about it.
3. The mining Mondays thing is a little bit of a no no. First off, where would the hole be? And secondly, that is a LOT of blocks... 20x20x2 = 800 blocks of whatever may be inside of it (unless my maths is a bit off).
4. I honestly the idea of Parkour Wednesdays. The only two things that it could go without / that could be changed would be the PVP (it would just be annoying and sometimes unfair) and the prize of 2 spawn eggs... make it so much grass, iron or something else.
5. Auctions are on .org...

By the way, I can't tell if these ideas are for .org or .net but those are my opinions for if those ideas are aimed for .net.

1) i like the idea but its a lil complex and may cause lag

2) i really do like the island idea and i think we could have what maybe 5 judges (mods or just experienced skyblockers) and have the islands judged on: efficiency, lag and orgininality. Also i think we could have people who want their island judged. now im jsut rambling, but i really like the idea xD

3) id say no cause it may cause a lot of lag as well as giving more people reasons to try and hack

4) id say no to this simply cause people can fly

5) yeah go onto org for auctions

2. This one has actually been proposed before, and I believe we did do it once... Not sure if it was by staff or players, but regardless, it's just too labor intensive to be that frequent.
3. Will add too much into the economy, sorry ;/ Maybe instead of percentages, just have a giant block of 50x50x50 of stone and hide some stuff inside? A good idea for a different server, but as for this one, it wouldn't work.
4. Good idea... if we had someone to do it.
5. .net has no set currency, so it'd really be up to the auctioneer's discretion.

4.) Parkour Wednesday's I think this would be a fun thing if somehow there were like 10 maps that were ready built that could change every Wednesday and circit

However this would be complicated and there is /warp parkour

Hmm...I think number 4 might work, if we gradually plan it out more in-depth. However, the other ones...sorry, but no support for those - same reason as the other replies.

 

I think the mining one will work, I like the idea since skyblock doesn't have a way u have access to minerals

 

Firstly, guys, don't just rate posts 'Disagree'; we want to know what you actually disagree on, why & how it can be changed to make things better. As for the original reply, it is indeed possible fo get minerals on SkyBlock. Although it's no longer newbie-friendly, since the Mob Arena & the Spleef is temporarily down due to various reasons, there are still a very large amount of minerals flowing in the economy.

Even for the new players, if you just vote for the server twice per day at vote.skyblock.net & vote2.skyblock.net, you should be able to get some iron or gold quite easily by trading via the chat. As for higher-tier minerals such as diamonds & emeralds, you should be able to get them if you just continue to expand on your valueables & trade for it I the chat once you reach a certain amount.

 

Finally some people are understanding you can't just rate stuff negative and leave it. Yay for Source xD

I don't really like any of those ideas, but four could work...
