Natural Mob spawning is disabled. You can buy a spawner they run for about 2-3 diamonds. If you're a donor or not, but donor 25 and up can change spawner types. Have I answered your question?

I'm fairly sure natural mob spawning isn't disabled, mobs spawn occasionally on my island and I have no spawners. Mobs do spawn really rarely though, why is this? I'm just curious x

I suggest you put something like [.ORG] in your title. Kinda confusing. ;)

The mob spawning is a lot less frequent then it would be on say a single player world. I've actually heard different reasons for why this is though.

One explanation I've heard is that mobs spawn less naturally, because there's so many spawners in the world, spitting out mobs, that it eats up the spawn rate, so natural ones just don't occur as often.

It could also be something changed in the settings, I'm just not sure about that. If it was something in the settings I would say that it has to do with trying to keep the economy balanced. Keeping spawners in demand and making the dropped loot still a desired thing. Also to make it easier on new members just starting their island, so they don't get murdered every time they log in. XD

Anyway, the larger your island is and the less spawners you have around does seem to help your spawn rates. :) Also, it seems to be a bit random. When I say that natural spawns are rare, some people agree and some people are quick to say that they get tons of mobs spawning on their island every day. So... I guess it just depends. :p
