I have Questions LOTS of questions mostly about how to get resources and mechanics of the server... the questions will be at the end as well as in my rambling so feel free to skip I just have a need to put things in context *shrugs*

So to start off I have played on a skyblock server in the past but it was not a traditional skyblock... it started with a larger Island and many more resources including Iron and coal and I think gold and various other things.. thus a true beginner Island. They also had place where you could buy things from villagers... And I know you can buy stuff here but I can't seem to get the villagers to sell me stuff I click on them and nothing happens. Though when I first started they did open the selling menu.

The other skyblock also had a limit to how large your Island could be, is there one here?

I have also looked online for info about skyblock. And it says you can find floating resources if you build out far enough?

I also have started to expand my Island I started by making a home base and then expand in arms around the island. I see another Island in the distance can't see much about it except it has a tree and i think a chest, is that another player Island or something I can ransack for resources?

Also can i get to a place that I can mine for resources like you can go to a place where you can fight mobs?

On my other server I could invite friends to my Island. Here when I did my friend lost her Island, is there a way to visit other Islands with out loosing yours... I have put far too much work into my Island to want to start again.....

1) how do you get a Villager to open their selling menu as they won't for me ?
2) is there a limit to how large your island can be?
3) are there floating mini islands that have resources?
4) other islands that look like skyblock Islands are they for resources or other players?
5) is there a place I can warp to to get more resources by mining like you can warp to mobs?
6) can you invite a friend to your Island with out them loosing their own?

 

1. You should be able to right click on them, but thats what works for me.
2. I do believe it's 49 x 49 from bedrock
3. Nope, any other islands you find are other player's

5. Unfortunately I don't think there is, I believe its to prevent island farming

3) /warp mob. No mines, though. You need to trade for iron, diamonds and so on.

7) why does it tak so long for everything to grow?

 

with #4 when I started my game there was a small island of cobble floating out there and I went to see if I could reach it and I could is that supposed to happen?

There's no protection, so in theory, yes. But this is bridging, don't do it.

Our villager plugin is currently glitched, try going back to version 1.7, or see if someone who is luckily able to trade can trade for you.
49 blocks from your bedrock (spawn point) is the limit here for building. (in all directions)
We don't have floating resources, just other islands, and bridging to them is illegal.
Go to /warp mob to fight monsters and /warp animal for passives.
If you invite friends, their island will disappear, however if a donor tpa's and sets a bed they can get there using /homes.
We have normal grow time I believe, try bonemeal.
That small island of cobble was most likely remnants of a bridge, just ignore it or get a mod to break it.

 

so you won't be stopped once you hit 49 blocks? great I suck at counting blocks...

do mobs form on your skyblock??

 

No, we don't have island protection.
At least not on .net, try skyblock.org for island protection and "Skybucks" as money.
It's our sister server.

Natural mob spawning is disabled, only /warp mob.

Ok, for anyone wondering, the total skyblock size limit is a 99x99 square, which is 49 blocks in all four directions from your bedrock with an unlimited . It says so in the rules, or you can do the math.

 

It's initially a 100x100 square

2) The limit to your island size is 49 x 49 on each side of the bedrock, in total, that makes the maximum size 100 x 100
3) If you mean like those islands in SkyWars, no...there isn't.
4) Just like '3)', nup, there isn't
5) Many players want this, but no, there isn't. However, you can earn these resources via trading.
6) Officially, this is impossible. However, you can get them to sleep on your island - by doing this, they can use /homes to come to your island whenever they wish, whenever they want.
