As we have seen, there has been a decrease in amount of players joining the server. I think we should implement a new Island style, for every new island that is generated. This will be Skyblock V3. If you guys have any ideas, on how to make SB more interesting, post them here.

This is also why we have the new voting system.

Hmm. I feel like the whole point of skyblock survival is starting off with the simple, basic island shape that we all know. But I like your idea. We could have added embellishments to certain aspects of the server, just not the islands themselves.

Thanks for the suggestion! I agree that we should do something to attract more players, just something that will cause the least lag possible I guess haha.

Possibly some new items introduced in the recent 1.3-1.7 (and 1.8 when spigot comes out with that) (SB was created for 1.2.5)

Nothing that makes it easier, but something different, so people have more possibilities.

 

Maybe make it an option to choose what version of the island will generate when a player creates an island.

I like this idea. It could be novel to have a new server where the island shape remains the same, but the main material is randomised when creating a new island e.g. an inverted "desert" island with 76 sand, 3 dirt, or a mushroom island which had mycelium instead of grass and a giant mushroom instead of tree. And of course there should be a hellblock style island. I'm sure we could come up with some more cool skyblock variations. It would still work because people could buy additional dirt/sand/saplings etc. from the admin shop if they didn't start with any and if someone didn't like the start type of island they were given, they could just keep doing /newisland until they got the type they wanted. Although this would be a fun idea it really would be an idea for a new skyblock server... it wouldn't really work within the existing servers I don't think. x

What's the difference? I've never actually played the downloadable map, only the servers.

What we want is people to play on sb.net more.

So, let's have an option so when somewhen does /newisland version1, /newisland version2, /newisland version 3, etc.
All islands are relatively equal in value, but are different designs and items

It's a great idea. All I have to say is LAG. I honestly love the classic skyblock style. If we wanted to attract more people we could, most defiantly something like this would be a real challenge.

Yes :3 maybe you could make it so like dirt and sand, islands contain gravel but it's illegal to trade, and every island that's already there and made, one of the members could get a gravel? I'm not suggesting that it should be legal to trade, I'm suggesting that it should be introduced again.
