Apparently Spam bots are hitting lots of servers. So far we haven't had major attacks but could they get worse ?

Spam bots are these fake minecraft accounts connected to one. How do they do this? Well its complex hacking. Most likely this can break servers. What do we do when the attack happens? Stay calm. The hardest things for mods and or admins is to deal with people freaking out. Don't leave the server it can affect you. When it happens stand still. Mods will might have to close the server and reopen it. The spam bots are all connected to one so it will be hard to find the one who controls the bots. How do i know this? Well how are they all spamming at once? When someone hacks there's this one hack where they can get up to 1000 bots. Whoa. When they get how much bots they wont bam they start to hit servers. So hopefully this will help you.

They're not fake accounts. They're usually cracked accounts.

Nope they aren't accounts. They're like hacks

 

They're ones that got their passwords leaked. People have lists of them. Multiple people use them for advertising/spambots and are usually the reason why they're banned on many servers.

 

This is settled, I already reported it. It was bad, I don't wanna post evidence of it either, I spotted atleast 13 of them.

 

But since we disable chatting and commands at spawn, spambots can't really do stuff, can they?

 

All it takes it a bit of running 10 blocks to the left.

 

Or right, or forward, but most other servers, all they have to do is log on, but. I guess for the advertisers/hackers all they have to do is add another line or two to their coding
