Ok drop parties as we know are very unfair so I thought of a different approach.
Make a competition entry page/survey (plenty of free options)
Only one entry per IGN allowed.
Broadcast the link until halloween
then simply assign each entry a number, random.org, 50 winners, go to their islands and place the prize in a locked chest.
All easily done, and fair.
It does take a bit of effort but at least its fair. 50 different players have the chance to own a rare no matter if they are non donors or donors.

 

It's not so fun if you cannot access the server. Because every single drop party favours the same group of people, the same time, the same issues. I really want to participate as do a lot of other people but I lack 3 core things to do so: higher powered computer, strong Internet, and timezone.
Other people are in the same boat as me with at least one of the issues listed.
At least one rare give away should be completely fair... Should it not?

 

Ok I also wouldn't be opposed to a half half approach. A drop party could occur with half the rares plus a few drops of other items. So people get their drop party and a fair chance as well.

Islands
Cyp can also put people's names on lockettes without putting his own.
The generator will work well as we know it's going to be random.
It's a fairly simple idea that will take some effort but will be fair.

 

Waking up or staying up til 4-5am while trying to log onto the server while it lags so much you cannot see nor move. If I have to say anything, I would say drop but have something else too.

Also the drop is not random, there are factors determine if you get the item. I tested this out. As soon as you lag, you will not be in favour of getting an item.
