Preface: Recently, I've been getting multiple reports about scammers. The player always asks me to log the chest and ban the scammer. However, to my knowledge, this is not the only proof a mod needs to ban a potential scammer. We need proof of the agreement! This thread is to teach unaware players of what they should always do when trading with a person that may be unreliable.

    Agreement Offers...

    Always screenshot them!

This is clear proof that two players agreed on trading 45 grass for one diamond.

    When Trading Items...

    Always trade in a chest!
When a player places/takes an item in/out of a chest, it is recorded. A mod can log the chest, and see if the trade above was completed. So where do you go to trade? The best place to trade will probably be /Warp Skybase. It'll look like this:

Inside, you will see multiple rooms. The two traders will enter the room, step on the pressure plates, and trade using the chest:

This ends the trade. Safe trading! :p

Logblock isn't always accurate. One someone looted and griefed me. No logs. Then someone scammed me on my own island in a chest I placed. No logs. I got griefed by someone, they even admitted to doing it. No logs.

In my experiences, if I knew nothing else about it I would think it's useless.

But anyway, ignoring my rant, thanks for the thread c:

When it comes to griefes and loots, logs can be glitchy. But I've found that with chests, they are somewhat more accurate. But thanks. :p

    Lolol.
Once in /warp grass I gave grass for ender pearls in( with the villagers)
I put the grass got the pearls.
Then I left my inventory and my grass came out and I didn't have the pearls anymore and then a fool got the grass.
I kindly asked for it back but he wouldn't give it back

Several guides are on this. But yes I always tell people to do /near before trading so no invisible people get away with your items as well, and screenshot the item being placed in the chest for extra proof in case the invisible person or even the trader gets away and you need a refund when there are no logs.
