i cant private my hopper says : no unclaimed container nearby to make private

 

The only way to lock them is with a trap door

so i put a trapdoor on the hopper???

Theirs a tutorial somewhere on the forums, il try and find it.

 

Put a trapdoor on a side of the hopper then put a sign on the other side saying [private]. This should works. I can show you online if needed

fence gate,trapdoor, or a door, place it on bottom on side or on top, might need to use sneak to do so. then use sneak to place a sign and write [private] and it will private itself
