I have seen many other maps baked around the sky block map (e.g. cake survival, sky den, ext) but I have never seen maps with the word "skyblock" in the title. I am currently working on this map for single player 1.8 minecraft called "skyblock plus". It basically adds in stuff plugins can so on servers into single player minecraft as I have played the map skyblock and basically completed everything there is to do. I find severs laggy and you can't go into creative mode at all (i wanted to do a flyover of my block for a youtube vid). Anyway I was just wondering if I can use the name "skyblock" in the title of my map or do I have to think of another name e.g: block in the sky or ultimate sky survival.

Skyblock as a standalone name is owned by Noobcrew.

If you wish to use it as a title for a video, skyblock is fine.

 

I suggest that, as you originally wrote, you name it something like ultimate sky survival. I'm noy completely sure but I think that, if you use it on a server, it can be named Skyblock

I dont think its copywrited, but since Noobcrew invented it, he can tell you if you are allowed to use it in your map name

Doubt Noobcrew would pay $1000 for a lawyer to sue over a Minecraft map.
