Look lets be nice here. Being popular isn't what this is about. Doing a lot of these things would make you a pretty nice person. Popularity isnt always good. And not everyone gets popular for being nice: some get popular for their looks, from being in a higher position and some for following and setting trends. Instead of trying to be popular, be a great contributor to this community, be friendly and kind, and be the best person you can be. That should be the aim

I know, but thats part opinion. I think the way you put it was quite rude when majority of the points made in the original was actually good to those who wish to be well known. Most people know that trying to get popular isnt the best goal, but some people feel the need to. Neither yours nor zambianas posts really did much to contribute in a positive way.

Except I didn't direct that comment at the original poster, nor did I make a direct attack towards anyone. I stated that the pursuit of popularity for the sake of being popular is a shallow aspiration. I stand by that statement, and followed it up with an explanation as to why. Sure, by itself I can see it being taken with negative connotations, but also realize I followed it up with this; If you still think that my post has no positive influence on the tread, then you are missing the point of my posts and I apologize for the miscommunication.

Popularity isn't always good. The popular people in my school may be pretty, but most of them are just plain rude. They're only popular out of what, 1,200 teenagers? There's 7 billion people in this world lol. Don't try to forcefully make friends with the more popular people if you're trying to be more popular, that makes you look bad. Just be nice, help out, maybe go on TeamSpeak and talk to others, that's where a good amount of well-known people are. There's no real guide to being popular, just try to make yourself more well-known to others.
