now I'm not trying to be mean but what I'm saying is that it does not matter how old you are as long as you can handle the responsibility and maturity of being a staff member.

Totally not trying to sound rude, because I respect everyone's opinions, but your opinion, is disrespecting those under age 13 who are/are applying for moderator. As I said in your original thread. Everyone's allowed to apply, but not everyone is getting promoted to moderator. Which is why most, if not all of our moderators are mature, regardless of age.

I think what's a bit more disrespectful is the amount of people that just came to this thread and shot down the idea without any further elaboration of why they don't like it.

"I'm right, you're wrong, I don't have to explain why because everyone agrees with me."
    - Almost everyone in this thread

I think it should be a rule that to post in this section, you have to actually explain your position on a suggestion rather than giving a yes or no answer.

Yeah, I just felt like ranting about that while we were on the topic of disrespect. Going back through all the replies, I counted at least 20 replies that were either 1 or 2 sentences, or a person saying "I agree" to someone else's post about why they disagree. This should be a place for actual discussion about a suggestion, not "I don't like this" and "I agree with x person"

Edit: 20 replies on the first 3 pages before I gave up and stopped counting.

But why reply to my post, quoting my post, about not explaining, where I clearly explained?

You were talking about disrespect, and I found the amount of people coming onto the thread saying "lol no" disrespectful.

Edit: this is probably best in its own thread. We're derailing this thread.

    Edit 2: here

okay I think that Jama gets the point of all of our reasons why we do not support his opinion
but honestly it seems to be getting disrespectful
    Yeah Yeah his opinion is "disrespect" but he isn't presenting his opinion anything like for example;
    "Every mod under 13 SUCKS"
    No
This is his own opinion, we don't need to hate on him for this, some of us just disagree and don't support it. IF you do not support then express your opinion respectfully please (why you gotta be so ruuddeee) and I am not in favor at all how some people do not support and don't give their reason. You should always support your opinion with a reason.
There should not be a reason to give such negative rates (disagree is fine) on his opinion.
Nuff said, have a wonderful day :)

But I never said his opinion is bad, but if you were under 13, and applying for mod, how would you feel if Jama makes a thread saying, "People who aren't 13 aren't allowed to apply" I already said. Age does not define maturity. The ones who do get promoted are mature, and those who aren't, don't get promoted, but everyone is allowed to apply

If I was in such a position I would simply disagree and say why, no need for the hate and anger. And I was directing my post to those that were more biased. (also edited the post)

So Jama expressing his opinion on why 13 year olds can't be mod is okay, but others' opinions of why they can, is rude...

no, the others expressing their opinion is not rude, its how they express it, for example "nope" said by skyknife14, and salamander saying "dammit"
the way they express it seems rude and unnecessary. *sorry to call you guy out here
Express your opinion away everyone, but there is no need for harsh negativity.
