What happens when you boil coke?

[Do not try this at home unless you have a parent/guardian by your side helping you along the way.]

First, you need to know how to boil coke:
    1. Take a bottle of coke and pour it in a pan.
    2. Put the pan onto the stove and turn the stove onto high and wait patiently.
    3. While you wait for the coke to begin to boil, stir slowly with a spoon every so often.
    4. After several minutes of waiting, you will see that the coke has now only occupied a small space in the pan.
    5. Take a spoon and stir the black gook that is now inside the pan where the coke was. This is actually all the sugar that was inside the coke.
    6. When you take it off the stove, it begins to harden into a solid.
(If you overcook the coke, it will be very steamy in the kitchen. ;) )

~Don't forget to turn off the oven!~

When you boil coke, it basically dries up all the products inside the coke, except for sugar and other chemicals, into nothing. Whenever you boil water, if you boil long enough, you will have nothing left in the pan by the time you are finished. But if you boil coke, you are left with a black, slimy liquid that is formed by the sugar that was once inside the coke. This goes to show you how much sugar is actually in coke. [5 Grams]

Thanks for reading What Happens When...

I boil ham in Cola all of the time. It gives the ham a lovely sweet crust when baked.
