Hey, I found 10 dirt lying on the ground at spawn. I picked them up and I was wondering if I was aloud to. I really don't want to get banned so this is why I am posting here. If it is illegal, just delete them : they are still in my inventory. If not, thanks mods for reading this! I'd just throw them into the void... but that's my way of dealing with things, I guess... *Finds diamond; throws it into the void*

Someone could have fallen and died. And yes, but then you would be using the dirt that was obtained un-legit.

In my experience you have 3 options: You can keep the dirt You can die with the dirt (jump in lava or in the void) Or you can tell a mod and they can take it from you. All of which will not result in punishment. With honest people I let them keep it if it's like a small amount of dirt. But I guess the act of giving it shows a good player and shows someone who isn't greedy.
Which was the original idea. Honestly, you can just keep the dirt. If you see a mod on, ask them to take it. Locking and archiving.
