Well I didn't know where else to put this thread and I thought I should put it out. So the last 2 scammers that I have been scammed by, I set them up like I gave them a offer they couldn't let go and so then I took screenshots of everything and when they scammed me I knew that they were going to be banned and so the reason why I made this was to tell you all to either watch out or to the mods that I have been setting people up to scam me and not other players so they can be banned. And if you can put this somewhere else where it is appropriate on the Forums.
Well its better than scamming others of the rarest things that they have, so its better to catch them before they can do that
Its all well and good to try and catch scammers. However the correct way to help is this: Find someone who is making a deal you think is a scam. Accept the trade and make them go to trading place of the server. Ask a mod to either: a) watch you and the trader put items in the chest or b) check the players inventory for the item that was agreed. If the player doesnt have the agreed item, a mod can warn them about scamming, temp ban for attempted scam. If they continue to make the same deal they could be banned. So no support, we do not need scam busters, people will just have to learn that if its too good to be true, it usually is.
If there's no mod on, either record a video of your entire trade, including your agreement to the deal, or take screenshots of the following: The deal and both of you agreeing to it You putting your items in the chest The other player failing to give you the agreed item Take this evidence and make a report, and it'll be easier for yourself and the mods. Another tip is to tell the player that you're recording/taking screenshots before the trade, this could either scare them off or actually make the trade they agreed to.
