I recently just noticed fireblocks turn in to flint and steel. I have just lost my fireblock which i paid $20 usd for. I would really like it if Noobcrew or CypriotMerks could refund the fireblock owners with a new type of block they could make? or a ungettable item? I know people may not like tis idea, but my 200+ dias just got lost because of an update. Thank you, -Hunterpence
1.8 is kinda of awesome cuz they have but sucks that it changes the source blocks. And isnt this suppose to go to help?
It's not the server's fault, so I doubt they would accept any responsibility. Besides, it's still the same item, just a different image.
If you go back to 1.7 it will show as a fire / source block. Also, the server might get a plugin to change the texture to the source block.
When people are in 1.8 fire, lava and water blocks turn into buckets with lava and water in them and fire blocks turn to flint and steel. This has to to with the id of those items changing. If you are in 1.7 you will see the proper blocks. The server isnt at 1.8 yet so for now dont worry. But make sure you have screenshot of the source block in case there will be offers for refunds coming up later. No one can be 100% sure what will happen when the server is fully 1.8
You need to keep in mind that 1.8 servers can't be joined by players using 1.7 clients when they are eventually updated.
I believe no one should be refunded in anyway, nor should the server get a pluggin just for this, rares are only ever rares for a certain time, the fact that a lot of people bought source blocks just makes it more of a point that rares can turn into nothingness in a matter or years, months or even weeks
They didn't only change the texture, once the server fully becomes 1.8, the ID of the source block WILL be removed.
Yes, the block ID's of all source blocks have changed. For now, if you go on the server in past Minecraft versions, you will still see your source blocks. When the server is fully 1.8 however, the blocks will be gone, from what I know. It is up to Cyp and Crew whether they will be refunding source blocks in some way. Until that question is answered by them, which I'm sure will happen in the future, I'm going to call this resolved. Contact me if you want it reopened for some reason, or you have more questions.
