Aloha from Blue [ign CobaltX0]

Just got my 6 month forum trophy as I logged on to type this. It's been a good 6 months.

There are two main reasons I'm quitting:

1) Cyp's absenteeism makes this server far less than it could be. Broken plugins, literally thousands of unprotected islands, silly things like glass being unavailable, etc. Frankly if he was doing his job, it wouldn't be possible for one simple machine to have such a massive impact on the economy.

2) There's nothing left for me to really do here that brings me any joy. I'm wealthy to the point that money has no meaning and there's nothing I want new I want to build.

I've chosen Data_Dragon to inherit everything on my island, and I cooped his son's account so he can strip the island. Sucks that 2400 dirt will just be wasted. I imagine there are a bunch of you out there getting really jealous right now, but please don't harass him for a piece of the pie. I want him to have it-- all of it. He's one of the best builders/redstoners I know, and if anyone deserves 8 comparators, 2 raw quartz, the 30 spawners I didn't give away, 10+ stk ea of grass and iron, etc, it's him. I gave away 15 spawners, about 100k in skybucks and about 250k in items in the last week, if you missed the drop parties and mass pays, sorry about that.

Here are the 4 people I'm totally gonna miss the most.

MadamKeeper, Leepieguy, McBird, Data_Dragon

Here's a short-ish list of people I'll also miss. Don't get butt hurt if you're not on it, it's a lot of names to remember. Also, it's in no particular order.

Died, Jelly, Derp, Joecobo, goden, grace (who answered 1m questions as an hr my first day), larry (let me buy blue sheep shearing rights for a diamond - best trade EVAR), laura, bdark, darkie, bert, fizz, pda, remo (banned), darnold, droid, sofa, chubs, opticz, hyperstar (such a spaz at first and really annoying but I grew quite fond of him), shadow888888888 (my neighbor who gave me 10k my first day when that was still a lot), scottishargonian, akril, akrii, nuss, andrew, zambi, gwism, joben (thanks for all the cheap redstone), sofa, tribalarts, timati85, naruto, abruptballon, ledjin, webmansdad, constructor, deathrepelled (you little perv), prettymewgirl, best, b8ola, fatrick, zombie (the one with /warp rocket), pc, steal, salamander9o, popis_mylife, neko emmi, yourlittleneko, tigergloves, nikki, mindsensations, ldschumpy, and the million or so other skyblockers that made me rich or made me laugh etc etc.

Sorry I can't think of all your names off the top of my head.

The list of people I won't miss is much shorter. Only Terrick and Cyp. A dollar says Terrick has something smart to say about that.

Anyway, it's been swell. I may come back and visit some time to see how things change. Until then, thanks for a really fun 6 months.

It's sad to see how much people don't appreciate what Cypriot does for the server. I mean, seriously.

 

idk if this has already been adressed, but cyp and crew have to work with 7 servers. 1 with over 1200 people, naturally, they both get really busy. also they both have lives lol. as do most of us.
almost anything broken is out of their hands atm, thats on bukkit to when they update all of it.
either that, or lack of devs to help update and upgrade plugins.
i guess your talking about .org mostly, older islands either have to be replaced, or takes time for them to protect them all
also, you can restart and be poor again xD..

Maybe he does his job on the forums, Net, and Mineverse (which is no doubt a handful, don't get me wrong), but he does nothing on Org.
