Today when I hopped on MC someone told me a story. Today or yesterday, I forget which. Terrick went on and said "black people" on his alt and said "black people". He was banned for saying "black people". A little bit later he hopped on a different alt and say "White people". He was nor banned, kicked, or even muted. Later today I hopped on to see if the same thing would happen to me (unfortunately I don't have an alt :drowning) but I said "black person". Then I was kicked by RobloxianRoblox. I just thought ok. Why was I even kicked for saying "black people"? Rule 5: Do not disrespect others (or server)/swear: :"A number of players (case in point was Gigantic_Man) are banned for disrespecting.". How is saying "black people disrespectful? According to many black people on Yahoo Answers, saying "black people/person" is not racist. Another story is Minataur01 was muted for 2 hours! For saying black people then having a discussion with Dewmellon about it. They shared opinions and she got angry and muted him. Do you think that the term "black person" is racist? Please vote. If a large majority of us say no. Then I think that maybe these mods deserve a warning.

This is a very controversial topic. I have spoken with many people about this, particularly some of my African American friends in-real life, but out of the (I'd say 15) people I've asked, they do not find this disrespectful, as you also stated, when people say "white people/person" nobody gets offended, so I think yes something should be done about the mods that did this.

Also how Dewmellon muted someone after having a conversation with them on this topic, if the mods feel that they have to ban/mute a player because of this, why is no action being done again the mods if they are participating in the conversation?

After all, the mods are no higher than us, they are not the rules, they're just there to enforce them.

All depends on the context of how it was used.

Is not racist at all, is stating the culture or where they are from racist? Cause that is the same thing. Being racist is mainly saying bad things about other cultures (not only 1 person) so in no way this is racist.

I could see it warranting a kick, as it may be viewed as racism, but in no way could saying "black people" in chat get you a ban.

But why should a mute/kick be used in this situation?

If you just said "black person" that is not racist at all. Definition of racism is to say rude things to certain race or think one race is superior than another

He was muted for not listening and wanting to argue the subject. Saying "black people" was offending other players, If it offends other players then a moderator has every right to step in and say something. Not only that as it was being spammed. I see your point, but this is a subject that takes little thought. When a moderator asks you to do something, you do it without question. Moderators are here on the server to make sure everyone is happy, you expect us to let you say that while you're offending other players, no. Do not argue this Swim, you know very well the difference from what is right and what is wrong.

Some people may take offense to it, just as saying white people in chat could earn you a kick

It's not just on this server it's the world, people seem to feel that black people can't be racist, women can't be sexist, what we've got to understand that everyone is equal and if you ban someone for saying black people and not white people then that itself would be classified as racism/descrimination

So you're saying, we can't have our own opinion against the mods? That if we defend our own opinion we will receive a mute? I think that's called abuse, if you ask me.

So your saying dirt block could in some way offend players so therefore I should be muted? I was breaking no rules saying "Black Person" and I was told by iPod that I had no reason to stop.

I simply asked the user to stop, he did not stop, I asked him once more as he was arguing the subject. I even asked another mod for their opinion, they said that is Mute worthy.
