No to PvP and Survival Games, Mob arena is enough since this was intended to be a Skyblock only server. No to more mob arenas. The one we have right now is just fine don't see a use for another. The command thing at spawn is already added on Skyblock.net and Skyblock.org No to the map submission unless they want to add new mob arenas. Support on the creative corner. No support on the no food sections. (This took me awhile to type) ;-;
All of these aren't really necessary. You can't say anything or use any commands because it's to protect the server from spambots. Mob arena automatically replenishes your food when the arena starts, I don't see why you need it. More arenas? Why do you need that? You work together in mob arena and more arenas would simply separate the players from working with each other. The survival games have already been suggested. This is SKYBLOCK not a survival games server. If you want to play survival games, Mineverse is great for that. To back this up, survival games usually last for at least 10 minutes. Meaning that there would be a lot of waiting in between games. PvP was removed due the to enormous amount of complaints there were. There's also something called god items that would simply dominate the whole world. Creative corner isn't such a bad idea, though you can already post your designs in the discussion section of the forums. Cyp will make a mob arena contest when it's time, there's no need for this.
.... Well... Best get started then... Spawn Commands - As already stated, this is to help prevent spambots, simply move away from the center. Spawn Food - Just bring some food with you... You wont be set back if you bring some melons to do the spawn parkour whenever you die. Mob Arena Food - Again, as stated, your fully healed upon entering the arena, and the lack of food is meant as part of the challenge of getting through. Mob Arenas - Repeating again, we tend to keep a single arena so that the groups get to be large enough that you have a chance at actual prizes. More arenas, less people per arena. Survival Games - No. This is a strictly skyblock server, so large mini-games like SG are a bit to overbearing. PvP - I've turned down PvP threads so often it seriously isn't funny. To keep it short: Hackers, HUGE amounts of reports/complaints, this is a strictly skyblock server, players are no longer trusted with PvP on .net Forum Creative Corner - Players can already share their work in the Off Topic section, and there are tons of threads (if you look for them) where you can see others artworks. Another sub-section isn't needed. Forum Map Submission - When/if there is a need for new warps or mob arena/mob warp builds, it tends to be that Cypriot will make a competition thread, so a section for this is unnecessary as all submissions need to be fairly centralized and there are already too many kids trying to get fairly boring builds to be a warp.
Basically what pein said except a creative corner is actually not a terrible idea. I find off topic best suited to sharing funny things and more random things. having a section dedicated to community creative works is great. And it is not limited to just drawings. people can share music, minecraft builds, fan fictions/stories, poems, digital artworks and other things that clog up off topic. And creativity is so broad that it wouldn't be a waste of a section. Much like how having a place to talk about other video games would be a good "investment". In any case this would probably stop so many threads dying in off topic.
My thoughts: Spawn Commands: Those are there for a reason, to prevent spambots. If you are in-game on a computer, just walk out a bit, and you'll be able to talk and do commands. If you are on Minechat, you can turn off spawn at entrance to the server, and you won't be auto-teleported to spawn. If you're already there, just try to get in contact with a mod on here, and they can tp you away from spawn. No support. Spawn No Food: I really see no need for this to be added. Free food is available at /warp animal, you just have to kill it. Carry some food on you, or get your hunger up before you try the parkour. No support. Mob Arena Lobby No Food: Rarely does the arena lobby time last long enough for you to lose many hunger bars. I haven't ever heard anyone complain, or noticed a problem myself. Don't run around the room if you want to conserve energy, or try to get into the ma j lobby closer to the start time for the arena. No support. More mob arenas: Ma j is hard to win, and the more people per arena, the better chance of them all working together to get farther, and win more prizes. Also, the arena there right now won the contest, as you may have seen on the Announcements section of the forums. No need to call it ugly. No support Survival Games: This is skyblock, not a minigames server. We have one gamemode, not multiple ones. A lot of servers have Survival Games, it's nothing special, and it doesn't really fit with what the server is. No Support. PvP: The gamemode and players on skyblock are unable to support PvP. The mass complaints, and complete abandonment of the rules that has happened in the past is not something we want to bring back. No PvP keeps things calmer. Also, like I said earlier, we are not a minigames server. No support. Creative Corner: I like this idea. If we had a section dedicated solely to people's creations, I think the community would improve. People like sharing their work, and we would have a huge variety of different projects, the section would be fun and interesting to browse through, and you could get constructive criticism, opinions, and just share the things you work hard on. Support. Map Entries: At this point, since I sincerely doubt PvP or Survival Games will be added, the only thing we would get maps for would be ma j. I believe it should stay as one arena, which means the entire section would be dedicated to one arena for one game. Also, the arena already has a perfectly suitable arena, one that was chosen in a contest. If we ever need a new one, we can always just hold a similar competition. No Support.
