Bukkit was on the verge of being shut down due to the EULA, meaning that many plugins on a majority of servers wouldn't exist in 1.8. Luckily, this tweet from Dinnerbone just came by: Nathan Adams on Twitter: I started Bukkit, I'm going to personally see it through for 1.8. Updating it now
Basically, Bukkit was ending. They had always been in a "legal gray area" and now that the EULA is the big deal, they were shutting down. After the post however, the aforementioned tweet came in. So they're working on it. It's still here.
Eula is dumb, Mojang is dumb for agreeing to Eula, there's watch the sales in minecraft go down, servers go broke, and complaints being fired. But if bukkit was shut down, at least half the minecraft community would stop playing. So I hate Eula, and yeah. Did I mention I hate Eula?
This was way before the tweets came out. So before you guys start telling me to read tweets it's already been done.
