So my idea is that under a forums users avatar, you could have the option to have an extra prefix telling others what server you spend most time on, for example, I would select the .NET user prefix; or a Hellblock addict would select Hellblock player. I was also thinking they could be different colors as well; you know to spice the place up. I have some examples below to back up what I'm saying.
Now obviously they would look a lot nicer but do you see what I'm getting at? I think this would be a nice addition, and I hope others do too. Edit: I am aware that it's likely impossible to integrate something like this and to cram it in with all of the other things going on on the avatar panel. I do admit that I could have explained this a bit better; but oh well. Heads up on a few staff members on pointing out some faults in this. Another thing I would like to state is that this is meant to be a changeable setting in the profile settings category, just to clear some things out.

 

+1. With this, we are then able to make out which players play in which server, and can clear up a lot of inter server misunderstandings.

Yeah; I try not to make life too hard for the staff here; but I made an edit on the original post related to what you said.

 

it'll still make our lives a living hell cuz everyone will want to change their prefixes. The point of a prefix is only for staff so our accounts catch more attention for people who need help and so we can stand out more then the average non-staff user.

 

What I was thinking was that you could change that within the the user profile. I didn't mean that the staff would need to change it, but then again this could fall into the wrong hands and could lead to problems... Yeah, I should have thought this through a bit more lol.

No support. Staff has a prefix so we stand out, if everyone has a shiny prefix it'll be harder to distinguish with just a glance.

 

Well, I'm glad people pointed out the faults with this, and as far as I can see; this is not needed. Thanks for pointing the problems with this idea. (Even though they were pretty obvious and I should have seen them myself) Can a staff member please kindly close this?
