But some people (not common though) do negative rating farms on threads.

 

Yours is a guide to rating posts, mine is specifically about rating abuse and the multiple forms of it. Not sure where the idea was "stolen," at all. Sure, they have the same topics, but they are completely different threads.

Thank you for making this thread mind, the community really needed it.

 

What confuses me is why people are using their time to gain positive ratings that are virtual, to get trophy points, which are again virtual. What are you gaining with this? Less time to play on the actual server/s? I'd rather have more time thank you.

 

It is probably to get on Notable members, and they probably want to get on there to consider themselves popular, knowledgeable, believable, etc.

 

Also, I figured I mention this...
Most people give negative ratings if someone posts "No support" on their mod application. It is rarely to ever 2 or more negative ratings gained, but giving a negative rating for them saying No support, with good reasons why (like I do), that probably does not deserve a negative rating.

 

True, new ish members might have done that for that reason. ( not saying they have)
