All the old mods have gone and so have most of the good players. When I am rarely online there is either no mods on or 1 or 2 T-Mods who I have never even heard of. The old skyblock that this server was started on has completely disappeared and its like a whole new server to what it used to be. Anyway, share you thoughts on this. Say what you want but it's true.

Its changing for the worst. people don't donate for the server the donate for the items. I agree Bacon.
The community is disgusting now with the "nu pls bae" and "/tap". It's gone from mature players trying to become the richest to little kids and other people acting like little kids just playing to talk in chat. No-one evens plays the game anymore they are just there for the community which is not the point of the server.
The only players I see actually playing the game are non-donors trying their absolute heart out to get just 1 diamond and the only thing they ask for is a simple repair that would take a donor 10 seconds to do but say no because they are to busy flying around spawn talking to people in chat.
Its not dying. What we are seeing are player and mods (who are just players with extra perms) falling into trends, and whatever the hell media and society is influencing. In fact, bearing in mind that we have a mod team made up of mostly teenagers, you can see why this is happening. Mods do say g-rated and at most most of the language used is pg tops. You can report mods for inappropriate language. Cyp doesnt even do that so we shouldn't either. Players do not have to repair or enchant for others. thats voluntary. Activity wise I know mods feel the need to moderate 2 or 4 or even more servers and cannot time manage with school and life. Players do focus on rares way too much. But you get out what you put in. you play your heart out, you will have fun. you want to talk, do so. Remember mods are players too. And despite everything, if you have a problem, most mods will be on it straight away.
krissy_punk please don't take this personally but I disagree with pretty much everyone you just said. I don't think people are understanding the point of this thread, I don't care about the mods activity because the only thing they do when they are on is just chat. The point I am trying to get across is this isn't even skyblock anymore, people are only using the chat and not even playing and I think that needs to change because it completely destroys the point. It is a minecraft server not an online chatroom. The chat should be about trading and asking for help etc ONLY.
I dont know most of what went on before i joined so i can assume people did chat off topic and had fun. But If chat was only for trading and asking for help i would have quit skyblock. Its natural for people to chat. have you not had some fun off topic chats at all? Seeing all the trading is literally the most annoying part of the chat, but we must put up with it because that is how people do things. All that matters is people are enjoying themselves. If its below pg, and follows the rules then why not? I dont mind living on a starter island, as long as i can chat and moderate. Mods dont just chat either. I would know, I watch carefully. We have been warned many times about paying attention to chat and that what we do. skyblock is still a large part of what we do, and most people who chat actually have projects they are working on. Its not all black and white. Its still skyblock, just an evolved skyblock. You can disagree but with such a harsh title I could only speak from the heart and what observations I see. If you need to know the reason mods just chat most of the time, blame teamspeak.
Try to get to know the new players and staff, maybe you'll like them if you joined in the conversation
Personally, Old skyblock was better, when it first started nearly. Everyone had fun building their islands and messing around. Now most people only care about how rich they are.
Listen , It really sucks that your friends stopped playing and that some mods left but thats life and there is nothing you , or me or anyone can do . What you could do is try to get to know new people , and the new Tmods ... When Im on , I see people having fun , trading items for their islands and building , And yes some do care about how rich they are but its like in real life I guess ... we dont all have the same interests .. So just do what you like , and enjoy the game .. The idea of skyblock is not just to play by yourself .. we are a community and this server was created so that people could socialize and have enjoy together ; thats why there is a chat . If what you want is to build , there are single player maps .. and please dont say mods dont work because you dont get to see how many people we have to kick , warn , bann , mute every single minute ... But we want to have fun too , so yes we will chat too just like anyone else .
Skyblock guys is what we are. No matter if you like old or new. We are sky blockers. We treat other sky blockers the same way we treat are friends. With respect. Cause I believe this server can be the best. Cause it already is. In my heart. Noobcrew wouldn't want this. Your arguing. I'm not on anyone's side. Cause I'm on skyblock's side. You may see me on .net trying to get everyone to believe im mature. Cause I am. Skyblock knows I'm mature. Cause skyblock is my friend.

just a simple version of what I posted with all the EULA threads that were released. Just have fun. do what you need to have fun, and dont worry. If building makes you happy do it. If talking makes you happy, chat. Everyone should find something that is fun and makes them enjoy the server. I can advise against placing happiness in rares, but you know sometimes thats just the way it goes
