I was standing above some lava (There was a block underneath me) and then randomly got some lag and fell through the floor and died, which made me lose 10 grass.
Is this a known issue for randomly falling through falls?

I didn't check my inventory so not sure what else i lost.

 

it happens when u glitch it happens to me after ma j i just quickly teleport home while I'm falling (if it ever happens again in the future) i am happy to give u a diamond to replace ur items

Problem wasn't really solved, you just made up for what i lost

Yes, server glitches only rarely can be refunded, and only with lots of proof.
It seems a player has decided to personally refund you, that's very kind of them.
