Why get upset about those two - perhaps three - hours of inactivity of supervisors?
All this ruckus about unavailability of moderators at certain hours is really unnecessary.
That is a partial reason for the existence of the forums and - more specifically - the reports section.

Additionally: New staff members were picked some weeks ago. I'm quite confident they will do a great job on covering the needs of the players whenever needed.

Alright, it's basically all been said, but I like typing and I'd like to lay it out for anyone who supports this idea so you can see what seems so ridiculous about it...

    1) Mods are volunteers. We are not paid to put in the work we do, we do it for love of the community and the love of the servers. If schedules were put in place where we were forced to be online in those set times, many mods would leave, I know I would. It would take the fun out of it, not to mention be unreasonable, which I'll explain in my next few points...

    2) Schedules would be as close to impossible to do as you can get. First of all, different mods have different obligations which include school, work (I personally have shift work, so I'm never working at the same time), family, chores and errands. On top of that, most have a social life, other interests and take vacations at times. This means that most could not take the same slot every day (for example, I cannot be online from say 2pm to 4pm ever day as some days I would be working, some I may be babysitting my nephews and on rare occasions we go to a matinee movie during the afternoon). There are 45 mods for Net, 18 for Org and 12 for Hellblock - all with different activity levels and time zones, as well as some overlapping (mean they are mod on 2 or perhaps all 3 of the servers). Imagine trying to coordinate a daily schedule for that many people, juggling their timezones, obligations and personal lives? Who do you suggest would even do that daily?

    3) If it was even possible to create a 24 hour schedules for the mods, what if people missed their scheduled time? We're people. There's illness, computer troubles, internet or power outages, traffic or car trouble that prevents them from being home when they should be, family emergencies, being called into work on a day off... I mean the list of legitimate reasons that could keep people from their schedule slot goes on and on, and then there's the simple, but completely understandable excuse of "I'm just not feeling up to it at the moment.". People can get stressed, angry, sad... we have complex emotions, and sometimes we are just not in a proper mind set to be dealing with people on the servers. We are only human.

    4) You have to step back and remember for a moment that this is a GAME. An hour here and there with no mods actually in game is certainly not the end of the world. Most things can wait until a mod has a chance to get on, or until a mod has a chance to review a report made on the forums. No, you may not have a great feeling as you wait for a mod to deal with your griefed island but it will be dealt with all the same, and yes that person who cursed might leave a bad taste in your mouth but you'll likely have forgotten about it by tomorrow. The world doesn't stop spinning if you have to wait a little while for a situation to be handled, patience is good to develop.

    TL;DR list
    1. We're volunteers and schedules are terrible things.
    2. Scheduling would be near impossible.
    3. There would still be times without mods, because scheduled times would be missed.
    4. It's a game, you can wait for a mod to come on.

Yes, having mods on 24/7 is a lovely idea, and in some utopia world, it would be wonderful.

When it comes down to it though, we're just playing the game too. For most mods, skyblock is one small part of our life that includes; eating, sleeping, probably school/work or both, chores and errands, family and friends, and in most cases, probably other interests we like to take part in. We get tired, we get cranky, we get sick, we get held up and we have computer troubles. Keep in mind also that being a mod is slightly different then just playing. It adds responsibilities and sometimes stress to the game, that we are not always up to taking on. We need breaks, we need vacations and we need time to just relax and clear our minds.

You may think that you're online a lot, so mods could be too. But please remember we are all different ages, with different life circumstances. Also, remember that only the current and ex-mods reading this fully understand the added stresses and responsibilities and just trust us that it makes the game a little different.

Uhm, so yes. It's a nice idea for a utopia universe, but for the real world... this is not realistic. I hope you can understand why, now. Sorry, no support.

No support. First, as said in just about every other comment, no one can be on 24/7. It would be good to have different mods at different times but its not always possible. And also, why do we have a report section on the forums? Its for when a mod isn't there. And if mods can't help in the first 5 seconds then that should be okay. From what I see there could be 400 people on a 1 mod. How would you feel if even half of them needed you.

Ok. Mods aren't police officers, there not paid by crew to "patrol" the server. If you were to tell a mod that you have to stay on 24 hours a day to stay a mod. You wouldn't have a team. No support

Like what Larry said, We moderators aren't robots, We're actual living breathing beings like you. if we were to moderate 24/7 then it would be problematic to our own lives, not being able to spend time with family and loved ones. Sleep and work is another factor. And basically everything that Keeper said.
Even if hardy's idea were to be accepted (which it will most definitely not), We would need moderators that are willing to sacrifice their own social lives, which would just be basically pure agony. I don't know what gave you the idea of having moderators on 24/7, since it seems that you overlooked the symptoms of what could happen if a moderator would moderate 24/7

if it's too much to read, just look at the gif

If you need help then you can post on the help section of the forums. There is nearly always some staff online there. There doesn't have to be staff online all the time. Mods have jobs/school and go on holidays. It would be different if for a month, no mods came on but I go on for about 1.5 hours a day and for about 1 hour there will be a mod on.

You always have the beloved console 24/7, I don't see much to complain about, if you really need a mod, just post in the reports section.

I do agree that it would be a little easier if there were mods on whenever you needed them, but that's like telling somebody who just gave you $20 for your birthday that it isn't enough and you want more. I mean, the other server I play on has VERY few mods. I mean, they have about 20, but there is hardly ever a mod online. People have lives outside of minecraft, and they are being generous enough to help you out.
