Hello all . If this by chance helps just one person, then this thread is worth it
Just a word to the wise.
1. Only accept tp requests from people you know.
2. Take screenshots of your island regularly, as you change it. Logblock is not 100% accurate... If you get griefed without any logs, screenshots of your island beforehand will help you out.
3. When you trade on your island, try to make a designated area/room for your trading. Coming from someone who has been griefed many, many times, this will help.
Fun Fact: You can lock ANY block. Just put a trap door next to it, then place a sign on the block with [Private] on the first line. It should look like this:

If it's an anvil, enchanting table, enderchest - anything that can be opened or used - just shift + place the sign. A donor100 griefed me long ago. He stole an enderchest. He got banned. Totally worth it for him...
4. Don't hold a drop party on your island with people you don't know... You risk getting griefed - I've seen it happen.
5. If someone wants to "check out your island", and you don't know them, accept the tp at your own risk.
6. Keep a water source on your island... If someone tries to kill you on your island with lava/a flint and steel, you can use it to douse yourself. This may sound stupid, but my coop was killed on my island by lava. With a fireblock on her. Ouch.
7. Don't go afk on other people's islands.... I went afk on someone's island once... I was spleefed and died.. with a fireblock on me x-x
8. If you see reports on the forums about people getting griefed/killed/tpkilled etc. by one particular person... Don't accept their tp request anyways...
9. If you have /fly, /fly when you login. People won't be able to kill you via fall damage. If you have /god, don't turn it off...
10.Don't keep valuable items in item frames... You can't lock them -- I've seen anything from bunny heads to netherstars be stolen from them.

Another tip is to never accept tp requests from Linne_A, as she has been reported for griefing about 7 times in the past month. Her current /nick is I_LOVE_PUGS, and she will tp to any donor she sees in chat.

Doesn't Clag get rid of items in item frames, or is that fixed now?

 

It can disappear, but it doesn't happen all the time, from what I've heard.

 

CLAG doesn't affect item frames, I have several on my island.

Good tips, one additional thing about locking anvils, be sure to lock the block under, or else it can still be stolen given the fact that anvils fall when the block under them is broken.
