Okay, so to summarize, if it's over one month from the latest post, unless you are the thread owner bumping a suggestion or help request, don't post on a thread.
I'm guessing mod applications are an exception?

Yea, but bumping your mod application does absolutely nothing for you.

In fact, in response to Gemma, I think I should reword how I put my exception. The original poster may post past the 1 month mark in any of the threads in the Support section, but ONLY the original poster and mainly if the situation hasn't been resolved (in the case of reports, help or appeals).

My understanding was that things in the suggestion section can be bumped no matter how long it's been inactive as long as it is still relevant i.e. a suggestion asking for the server to be updated to 1.5 VS a suggestion that proposes a new /kit

    >.> I may have went on a spree and locked most of the threads older then one month in Discussion and off topic. XD Hopefully that helps this be less of an issue. :p

There is no problem in making a new thread on an old topic. :) It's always nice to credit the original poster though if you're starting a new thread, based on an old one.

The only topics that gravedigging should not apply to is mod apps, help section, unresolved reports, unresolved bans and suggestions. Anything else, that is gravedigging

We thought that was a good idea, but when it came down to it, the admins (at the time) said they'd rather a new thread be made than an old one be bumped :/

I was going to say something... Then I realised that there was a second page... So I read the second page... Now I can't remember what I was going to say, or even what this thread is about. *facepalm*

Oh wait nvm gravedigging. Okie, so like, what if the problem was never solved, and mod just decided to close it? Because I'm still pretty mad I lost my beacon in the whole Pink griefing situation and I actually made another thread to get it back, but that was closed I think too... Idk my memory is bad lol, so I'm not exactly sure what happened

My understanding is help, mod apps, appeals and suggestions can be bumped past the one month mark. Of course lets just remember that the act of gravedigging is trying to bring attention to a post that has had no activity for a long period of time. Posting after someone has gravedug is not illegal. Only the person who gravedug should get the infraction. The best way to bring up an old idea is to repost is its older than a month.
Basically notice the date on the last post. that is your guide to see if you can safely post.
