So i thought i set it up well where the skeletons spawn in their own caged off area, and the creepers spawn out in front of them causing them to be hit by the skeletons. HOWEVER, the creepers, and skeletons keep spawning outside the area I've created for them. Did i possibly make it too small?? What are the basic tips on where exactly to place spawners? (mine were places sort of at the edge of the walls so maybe thats why?) ANyways,… if any of you have photos of your own, or just know the answer to my question I'd appreciate the help! Thanks, Jess
Monsters spawn in a radius of 8x8 with the height being 2. Make sure to have enough room for the skeletons and creepers. You could just keep one skeleton in the same place and allow the creepers drop down to be shot at, but I've never actually done any music disc farming so I'm not sure... Anyways good luck on the farming.
I did this ages ago. Some of it is still under my island somewhere. I set a spawn room up that channeled all of the mobs down a drop then a narrow channel. I spawned 1 skeleton, then blocked that route and changed the spawner to creepers which were channeled further along to drop in front of the skeleton. Last step was to stand so the creeper was between me and the skeleton. Boom, discs. Would be even easier with two spawners. Takes a while to perfect. Good luck!
Light up the area that you don't want them to spawn in. Or use half slabs or water, since mobs don't spawn on them.
