    Hi

I have a huge lag issue in 1 corner of my island. There's nothing particularly heavy in terms of processing there, in fact all my red stone etc is in another place where this is no lag. I've looked around neighbouring islands and they are empty so no reason it should happen.

Memory being used never seems to pass 20% and the drop in FPS happens at any memory % so it seems unrelated to that. I've attached a screenshot to illustrate the issue. This has been happening for 3 consecutive days.

    Thanks

    Matt

hmm, I recall I sudo'd you out of that lag area. You might want to get Cyp or someone to check for a corrupt chunk in that area.

Hi, a corrupt chunk would make sense. Can you advise on how to have cyp check? As my approach was to post here and hope he see's.

    THanks

Hi, thanks for the advice icq. Which plugin did you use to increase your render distance above normal maximum?

    Thanks

    Optifine is amazing.
If you think this is more client based, I'll edit the title.

I think Optfine may work. Easy to download. I will list steps if you like ;P

    1. Find a download link to Optifine and download it.

    2. Find the optifine download itself and place it on your desktop.

    3. Open up your start menu, and type in %appdata%

    4. Locate your .minecraft folder. Open it up and click on "versions". Once done, drag the optifine download from your desktop to the versions folder.

    5. Lastly open up Minecraft click profile switch your version to Optifine.

I decided to add this just in-case you didn't know how :p. Anyways I hope I may have helped.

It seems ok now I have installed optifine. I also removed all my redstone so it could be that as well . Thread can be closed
