To be honest, I'm not a huge fan of this reshuffling

Since I first joined the forums last summer, the only thing that has really changed was the forums provider.

However, this "reshuffling" is not my piece of cake. Why do people all of a sudden really care about what goes into discussion as much as they do now?

I've said that post counts really don't matter, but they kinda show how long you've been around. I lost 800+ posts when the forums were wiped, and now I've lost 600. I really am not happy.

Well, it's best things are organized, rather than everywhere.

Well why now, instead of 6 months ago is what I'm really wondering

Why is the EULA being enforced right now when it's technically been here for years? Pretty much the same question.

...again this was just explained. You know this should be in off topic
Because no one has been paying attention to detail.
    The forum rules apply...
I know there is an adjustment period, but you should understand those points should never have been counted in the first place.

You know what is a better indicator of how long someone has been around? Their join date. Fascinating I know.

Points look like they make a pretty good activity indicator, 'least up to a point.

I won't let others take too much of the blame. Yes, moving some threads from Discussion to Off Topic caused some post count loss. However, this morning, in an effort to try and do my part to help clean up the forums, I archived quite a few old Discussion threads. The point was to reduce the discussion section so you could more easily skim through active topics, and to stop people from grave digging and getting into trouble. What I didn't realize when I started the clean up was that posts in the Discussion archives don't count towards your post count. As far as I know, it's the only archive like that as there was never any complaints of lost post count when I cleaned up the Help section after I got tmod, or when I went through the donor help section not so long ago.

Personally I don't pay attention to my post count, so I never would have noticed the drop... which is why it took so long for me to catch on.

After the threads popped up about the lost posts, I realized what had happened. I locked any further threads instead of archiving them. Sorry about that, but I was really just trying to help, it's all any of the mods are trying to do, but everything doesn't always go to plan.

I notice you've been asking, why now? I have a question for you though, why not now? It didn't happen 6 months ago, so why does that mean it should never happen. I didn't win the lottery six months ago, doesn't mean I'm against it happening tomorrow.

Change is scary, and it can be upsetting, I understand that... but the severs and the forums were crying out for attention and now they've got it. There's been a lot of changes on skyblock.org recently, things added and things updated. It's new and different, but over time, it will become familiar again and all will be well. In the end, the forums should run smoother and be cleaner and more efficient.

Consider it this way, you have sacrificed some post count for the greater good of the forums and the skyblock community. I'm sure if you truly love the community as I do, and considering that we're trying to make things better (so more people will join and enjoy the community), then you'll get your post count back up in no time. :p

Again, so sorry about this morning. ;-; Yes, some of your post count loss might be from the moving of threads from Discussion to Off Topic, but I do believe the most of it was from my archiving of old threads. >.> So if you'd like someone to blame for the mess, it would be me...

Posts counts merely show how much content you post. I have a lot more posts than some people who joined over a year before I did. At the end of the day, people started complaining about the forums, now we got this change. And I know it hurts, I mean I was a little crushed to be honest, but work hard at reclaiming back those posts.
And if you want to keep them I suggest posting on forum and server matter discussion posts.

Don't be too worried about your post count rather than the content you post. Quality, in my opinion, goes - and that by far - over quantity.
I wouldn't feel too excited about achieving a post count over a thousand only by contributing one-sentenced posts. That is just an example.

    Yup.

I realize posts shouldn't really be this big of a deal, but due to me not being able to play in-game, it acts as almost being my "rares on the forums" so to speak

What exactly is the problem with you not being able to play in-game?

    Yet another thread.
We don't need an 'ok' to go ahead with what we do.
I've seen your posts anyways, 'He/she gud' spammed in the staff feedback, hi/hey spammed in intros. The majority of your posts that I've seen are spam. >.>

I didn't mind it long time ago but now all I see is threads being created in discussion that doesn't need to be there and gets over 30 useless replies which boosts players post count.

    Example:
    Aww | Skyblock Forums

Created in discussion, why? It's only a .gif and should be in off-topic.

If you don't like what I'm and others are doing to the forums, leave. No one is stopping anyone. I'm just making the forums better than before and more tidy.

And sorry if it sounded harsh, it's annoying seeing people complain over stupid things when it's making the forums better.
