i honestly think that with the everyone has lives thing, that they should get people who are willing to put a lot of time in and use people for mods that can spend a whole lot of time on skyblock. thank you for reading this.
I normally see the same mods on all the time, probably timezones though. I do think some more mods couldn't hurt. And no I haven't read ALL the replies to this thread. I'm lazy
I think everybody here is forgetting about the .Org and Hellblock mods that are active, that adds more than five mods at least to the actives list, I don't really see what the problem is with having inactive mods if we have plenty of active ones...
If they're really that inactive, someone better and more active would be more suitable for the position.
I am not a jackass no matter what you think i just hate it when people say the same stuff over and over and over and over and i keep saying the same thing over and over and over and over
Okay. I just read all the posts. You all need to just take a look at this. Calm down. Take a deep breath. And repeat these words. I do not own this server. I do not administrate this server. Let that sink in. Now, for my thoughts on this issue. 1) It is blown WAY out of proportion. 2) All you people calling out the mods, call out ones in particular, not all of them. It's easier to give opinions on one certain mod. 3) Please please please do NOT make assumptions and decisions about active mods based on what you see in your own timezone! There are a LOT of timezones out there. 4) Trust in the almighty administrators. They make the ultimate decisions when it comes to mods and the server. They DO check up on the moderators. They demote based on what they see. It's all up to them. 5) You do not know everything. Sorry. Many inactive moderators have things keeping them inactive. Things Cyp and maybe even Crew know about, but not you. Don't assume things. 5) Yes, there are some mods who could do better. But this thread has already fulfilled its original purpose. Get a BUNCH of different opinions, and warn mods of inactivity. 6) Rate abuse is just ignorant. Yes, I've seen some pretty rude comments on this thread. No, not every comment was rude. No need to rate it that way. 7) Respect people's opinions. No, I do not agree with the idea in the original post in this thread completely. I think some mods are inactive, but it is NOT our place to call out every mod and demand to know there exact playing times. It also is unfair of us to expect them to be on 24/7, and in timezones that are far away from theirs. Yes, I respect what other think about this issue, and I'm not going to CAPS FLAME THEM. Or rude rate Every. Single. Thing. They. Post. Summary: Mods are only human, we are only human, Cyp and Crew are only human. We can't expect perfection from any of those three groups. Be nice to one another! Carry on.
Why are most moderators offline during Australian daytime? The server is hosted in the USA, and the vast majority of the server traffic comes from there. It comes as no surprise to me that most of the moderators are living in the USA. Also USA daytime is when the most mods are required, as the most players will be online, and the more likely it is for unruly, or even griefing players to be online. The server tends to be at half it's capacity during Australian/Singaporean daytime. There is a lesser need for moderators during this time, as we have much fewer people playing on the server. You're less likely to run into a griefer/spammer/mean person, and less people are affected. I'm not saying that these players aren't important, everyone is. In fact I live in the timezone with the least moderators, being in GMT+8. Although there are few mods online while I am, there is nearly always one moderator online. I've never run into a problem in the server without receiving help, moderators always respond to my calls, or remedy situations. Rule breakers are kicked and people are set straight. Short of that, many donors offer help and advice, we have an extremely helpful community at skyblock. So who's to blame for the lack of moderators? No one. The moderators are not at fault here. I sincerely doubt that they signed up to work at specific hours, they will be online as they see fit, most choosing to be online during peak hours, namely USA and European daytimes. It would be unfair to ask even more of the moderators than we already do, these are the people that keep skyblock safe, happy, and enjoyable, and they deserve a great deal more respect than some of you are giving them. The problem is not lazy moderators, it is just poor circumstances for people in the Asian/Australian region. I would suggest considering how big of a problem this really is to you before mouthing off and complaining about the staff. Nothing is perfect, and don't have too high expectations for the mods to fulfil, they are already doing a stellar job, skyblock is incredibly enjoyable. The moderators are here to keep the server safe and fun, not to answer all of your personal calls. More moderators are being promoted, so the situation (not really a big problem) will remedy itself soon enough. I'm in support of promoting more moderators in the Asia/Pacific timezone, as it would ultimately result in a much smoother running of the server, but I won't go so far as to complain or demand that more mods get online when I am. Thanks for reading if you did.
Well if you don't want this still going on. Lock and archive it for good. Or even delete. I don't care. I think this post has brought out the worst in some of the people on here, and it's already completed it's point, as I said in my lonngg comment, so all it is now is an argument starter.
UnHidden Content: I was going to do that too XD Just trying to find a thread somewhere that tells the time limit on a thread before it becomes a gravedig. Great minds think alike
